The problem with Progressive minded Media
by auryas on Sep 01, 2017 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

The biggest problem with the so called Progressive minded media persons is that they are louder than they are rational. These are torch bearers of a confused society whose only idea of progress is to beat up any thing even remotely related to 'Hinduism' - be it a Baba or an Ayurvedic medicine.

The problem with people like Vir Singhvi are two fold. First, these guys want to dismantle the very system which provides them a lifestyle that they have today but then they understand the perils subscribing to the communist agenda.

So who is the soft target ? BABA RAMDEV

Both ayurveda and babas are inseparable.. frauds in both. Do you know the quantity of Chyavanaprasam sold in India? to prepare that much chyavanaprasam, even the whole of amla grown in Asia is not sufficient!!. just cheat the gullible people. And the word NATIONALITY.. It is used as a synonym for patriotism.. both are different..To know more about wrongly placed nationalism and its perils, read Nationalism vs. Human Development by Bertrand Russel.

First of all your information is incorrect. Amla is a tiny fraction of a bottle of Chyavanprash. There are other ingradients and base materials too. Ayurveda has roots in India. There is absolutely nothing wrong in saying it is a 'desi uthpadan'. The FDA and the Pharma regulators do a very thorough job when it comes to approving of a particular medicine.

Now lets examine other Pharmaceuticals. Do you know that 'statins' that we are routinely prescribed for Cholesterol has an NNT of 300 ? Simply speaking it works for one out of 300 people and has 15% chances of side effects. That means out of 300 patients , 45 develop side effects and only one person is benefited. Now, this is 'published data'. Don't believe me ? Check yourself. This goes for EVERY SINGLE allopatic medicine. Every single medicine. The cost of production of one pill of DIabetic medicine is not even 100th of the cost you pay to buy it. Pharma companies control countries like USA for nothing through stock exchange.

Chyavan Prash is not medicine. It is a food supplement which has no side effects. Well, some bad apples are always there in any industry. It does not mean we generalize every thing.

Do not just go by the so called main stream media which earns it's livelihood though Hindu Bashing.

And Mr you Mr Singhvi
by auryas on Sep 01, 2017 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

And Mr Vir Singhvi is a lab sample of today's Indian media which is loud, megalomania cal, disseminating 'authentic looking' falsified and manipulated trash and trivia in the form of news.

I watched this guy's couple of interviews. It's a sad commentary on journalism that a bunch of these so called 'elite' media persons try to force feed audiences with their own side of the make believe stories and noisy arguments and screams. I was a loyal reader of a particular weekly for several years and stopped it after realizing that how shockingly biased it was.

Baba Ramdev may be dangerous to the society or may be taking undue advantage.

But people like Vir Sighvi are equally dangerous because these guys are in media and they can pretty much manipulate any thing - from headlines through opinions.

When the readers are kept captives by paid media and business men run media, some silver ling in the dark cloud is a ray of hope.
