Why does Indian railways charges more money for reserving ticket
by auryas on Oct 16, 2017 12:14 AM

The ticket cost can be different for different tickets.

Why do Indian Railways charge more for 'ticket reservation' and 'Cancellation' for 2nd and 3rd AC ?

Which logic substantiates this ? Put your head around this and you will understand why this country is called the hybrid banana republic.

If Indian Railways is doing it, why can't a star hotel do it ?

Why dont you ask Indian Railways
by auryas on Oct 16, 2017 12:11 AM

What is it ? Rediff now unhappy with Star hotels ?

Why don't you guys ask Indian Railways ?

Why do they charge different 'clerkage ' charges for sleeper , 3rd AC, 2nd AC ?

Same clerk, Same computer, Same software - What additional facilities Indian Railways Giving to 3rd AC , 2nd AC people in the process of reserving ticket ?

Similarly when you cancel ticket, cancellation charges are different for different classes ?

What is wrong with this country ? Full of idiotic
socialists ? No brains ?

Each star is made costlier to add to the dignity of the guests who are often super stars flush with funds or often thriving on corporate accounts.

WEll, as long as we accept that they charge Rs 700 for a veg burger, the Taj or any other group will continue on their merry ways. The only way is to boycott such places and go somewhere else.

Very good question........we also need to question the wisdom of this judgement by National Commission.
The hotel charges hefty tariff for the room which includes Room Rent, use of water, electricity, airconditioning, house keeping etc. including the telephone in the room and bathroom and "the state of the art electronic exchange".
