As a frequent flyer, I first tasted the Magic Upma in Indigo flight in 2013 and I simply loved the Upma as an option of hot food in the flight instead of monotonous and boring sandwiches. It is just like home made and with perfectly balanced flavors.Great work...
It was really an inspirational story. Salute to Mrs. Daga for her zeal and perseverance. I hope this story acts as an catalyst for more women entrepreneurs in future.
I heartily congratulate rediff and Shobha Warrier for this interview and human interest story. As Indigo travelers we have tasted this ready to eat food and even as we were savoring it the mind was thinking the entrepreneurial story behind it. It is also an indictment on the Indian banking system that even though lead banks in PSUs and private banks may be managed by successful women there is no guarantee like Ms.Daga will be provided loans to prosper in their business. Banks need to re-think their risk taking and risk management strategy when it comes to giving loans to such entrepreneurs with a vision and a mission. It is a tribute to her entrepreneurial spirit and native wisdom that she has flourished inspite of banks ignoring her. I salute her spirit. May her tribe increase.
