GST-high rates for SSI Unts
by Olambe Vithal on Oct 24, 2017 06:10 PM

Since last year ssi manufacturers are facing tremondous problems and we are totally collaps. Govt. has imposed GST at very high rates and hence small units are not getting any business nor their payment in time. we suggest that govt has to impose less gst for ssi units then only they will get some business for long time and also who has turnover more than 1.5 cores they have to charge atleast 8-10 percent more gst then only ssi units can get energy to survive their business. now due to similar gst rates customers are not buying material from ssi unit who's turnover is less than 1.5 crores. please think into this issues

GST & INDIAN ECONOMY - !!
by ramamani sadasivan on Oct 13, 2017 12:12 PM

I feel that Eashwar has made a valid point or two in his Q&A session :

1. GST like Demo, has been badly implemented. It could have been "test marketed" in two markets ( States ). One State which is strong in Retail Sales like Delhi or Mumbai and One strong manufacturing State like say
Gujerat or Tamil Nadu for a period of ONE MONTH. After "test marketing", it could have been implemented all over the country.
2. Indian Retailer, by nature - looks to avoid paying Tax of any kind and still Enjoy all the largesse of the Govt. Hence, the average Indian Retailer would look to all possible avenues to AVOID getting into the GST mania and having failed in the attempt, would RESIGN himself to accept the GST as an "UNAVOIDABLE DEVIL". THIS PROCESS WOULD TAKE THE COURSE OF ABOUT 6 to 9 MONTHS..!!..when it will become normal.
3. IT WILL NOT BE OUT OF PLACE TO ADD HERE THAT GOVT. SHOULD ALSO LOOK INWARDS AND BRING IN FOUR CHANGES IN THE GST FORMAT TO MAKE IT REALLY EFFECTIVE.
1. It should look to scale down the "peak rate" to 10 % Maximum
2. The above step would hit the spending power of the Govt and hence, it should set itself a target for REDUCING the Govt. running cost by at least 20% in the first year by cutting down number of Ministries and the attached bureaucracy.
3. Govt. can consider bringing in Real Estate under the ambit of GST.
4. Govt can also consider bringing in Agricultural land owned by absentee landowners under GST.

GovtMaadharChodhs not satisfied with 7th Pay Commn, want 20% more
by NEO HITLER on Oct 13, 2017 12:10 PM

GovtMaadharChodhs not satisfied with 7th Pay Commn, want 20% more

Nowadays a peon or junior asst in gov gets Rs 30,000, a gov lecturer gets Rs 1.5lak, a teacher 50K. Modi gov claims they are collecting a lot of taxes nowadays thru GST, income tax, etc. What all these collections for? To pay salaries to GovtMaadharChodhs who are good-for-nothing fellows?

I appreciate, Modi's initiatives on several fronts, but he is unable check the salaries of GovtMaadharChodhs.

Gov officials are laggards who do little work, they work hard only when there is scope for corruption, otherwise they eat paan and spit on the walls, play cards for 2 hrs when lunch time is only 1 hr, talk nonsense for hours, and so on.

Only defense people should be paid high salaries, and salaries of all the GovtMaadharChodhs should be reduced.

Govt is collecting taxes from the 97% hardworking people in the pvt sector, to pay exorbitantly high salaries to 3% GovtMaadharChodhs.

In pvt companies, corruption is only at the top, 97% employees have to work hard, but in govt companies 99% are corrupt and / or laggard fellows.

Govt should stop revising the salaries of the govt employees in future and divert that excess money for improving primary education, family planning incentives, and spreading English language among poor. Gov criminals should be paid only market average salaries.
