Indian economy can never go to ICCU'
by susarla suryaprakasam on Nov 26, 2017 08:47 PM

The proverb "Dharmo Rakshthi Rakshitah"originated in India but only for consumption of others. Such a corrupt society should not survive but still kicking though its contemporaries like Egypt, Greek, Babylonia, Mesopotamia etc. extinguished, with only China flourishing (where the totalitarianism allows only the top to indulge in corruption). The death of Mohenzodaaro-Harappan civilization is their refusal to invest in protectionism but indulge in only trade and tax-evasion, is typically seen in Gujarat, with Lakshmi as their only Goddess. As Akhilesh once commented that why Gujaratis are not in the army. How a country can progress in such a scenario?

Taxation and all that
by RAJESH AGARWAL on Nov 25, 2017 09:09 PM

We are ignoring our biggest asset, our business - and small business at that. We have organised "PUBLIC' sector employees, we have Organised sector employees , then we have the Govt. which must do every thing for the public. Every body has an incentive; work or no work and the last supplier of products and services is left to fend for itself.
IF WE COULD DEPOSIT JUST 0.1 % ( for him ) OF THE CREDIT TAKEN UNDER GST LAWS ( without having to keep books ofcourse ) BY THIS SMALLEST OF SMALL BUSINESS and invested in some pension fund, Tax collection and our Bank's financial strength will improve greatly. Needs more thinking

very good balanced article
by s kumar on Nov 24, 2017 10:49 AM  | Hide replies

This article seems to hit the right spot . heavy taxing is feeding only the unwanted-bottom less pit of govt. expenses instead of creating profitable investments and jobs. So let masses get more oppurtunity to do small investments in a better way. Infact small businesses are the base on which our economy is standing thus insulating it from world wide shocks .These may not give super growth above 10% but it will also never go below 5-6 % .It is correct we never go into ICCU bcos of this reason. Kudos to author ..

Basically all revenue collected, maximum percentage is spent on pay salary, perqs. and biggest in DA related pension,to govt. servants and politicians, as correction in pension scheme is taken for those who have joined govt.after 2004, By that time, impact will create Greece like situation. Immediate need is to bring this correction and to bring all such fellows at par with rest of the country.

HOUSEHOLD IS MORE EFFICIENT THAN GOVERNMENT
by Swamy PR on Nov 23, 2017 10:58 PM

BRAVO... AUTHOR CORRECTLY POINTED OUT THE REAL PROBLEM.....

The government must understand that the household is far more efficient and productive than any Yojana under the government.

To tax households excessively and shift money from households to the government must stop.

At last some one made sense
by auryas on Nov 23, 2017 05:32 PM

At last some one stood up to the studio warriors who are good for nothing idiots with loud vocal cords.

Demonetization is the biggest and bravest step towards the cleansing of the system.

The problem with country like INdia is that we have in media community , a large chunk which is pretty much called refuse of the education system. They look for the next hike or some sensational news but not doing a good job. Their job is to fuel the fire and not bringing the truth about.

OBC Reservations, Empowering Criminals, Are a National Danger I
by NEO HITLER on Nov 23, 2017 04:17 PM  | Hide replies

OBC Reservations, Empowering Criminals, Are a National Danger

I am not against OBC reservations if reservations are given to MBCs (Most Backward Castes) who are weakest of the weak and poorest of the poor among OBCs. There is a great danger from the current OBC reservation policy.
Theoretically in the 50% is left for merit, OBC criminals grab nearly 10-15%, because first merit list is taken in which even some of the merited reserved candidates are also selected. That means high-end, wealthy OBCMaadharChodhs like Yadavs, Jats, Patels, etc can get selected in the open if they could score well, and if they cannot score well, they can still get selected it in their OBC quota, so they are enjoying double opportunity, which is atrocious. These criminal OBCs also cut into the quota of 27% set aside for MBCs. For example, recently in Haryana gov gave a lion’s share of 10% to Jat Criminals. Surprisingly, there is no sign of protest from other real OBCs or MBCs whose share is shrinking, because they do not have the maturity to understand that Criminal OBCs are grabbing their share.

And most of the JatMaadharChodhs, YadavMaadharChodhs, GujjarMaadharChodhs, etc are criminals backed by money power, muscle power and political power, in addition to being the exploiters of MBCs, SCs and STs. Remove wealthy criminals like Yadavs, Jats, Patels, Jaiswals, Modis, etc and reduce OBC reservations to 40% (SC / ST 20% and MBCs 20%), leaving 60% for merit.

Efficient yojanas need of the hour
by girish on Nov 23, 2017 03:59 PM

I don't agree with Author when he says that government should come out of Yojana business. In fact only government has the capability to execute yojanas which can cover the entire population to the maximum benefit. The problem is not with yojanas but with yojaks or in other words governance plays a key role in the execution of yojans. Right yojans with right governance is the key to enriching lives of millions. To give an example yojans like Jan dhan, Giving up Gas subsidy, Electricity for villages, and like Jalyukta Shivar in Maharashtra have worked wonder.
Other point I don't agree is when the Author says that the main stream media is critical of Modi government. In fact leading english news channels like Times Now & Republic are endorsing the government stand. In fact now I find even local news paper like Sakal in Pune supporting the government on many occassions. It is only the Congress party and parties which are affected by demonetization are crying foul.

ICCU
by ramesh dikshit on Nov 23, 2017 02:16 PM

The article is really good.Every one talks about the prevailing corrupt practice but had no courage to take corrective/preventive measures. This Government has taken bold courageous step and all honest persons must extend full support. Since this is an honest step , it will definitely be opposed by all people involved in corrupt practice .It may take some time to get the results or they may not be visible immediately but it will come in due course.
