Over-taxing Fire-extinguishers
by Debprasad Choudhury on Nov 14, 2017 06:20 PM

If there are fewer fire-extinguishers, there will be more major fire breakouts and the middlemen around insurance sectors can earn more. There can be no other plausible explanations.

by R ponnabalam on Nov 13, 2017 08:37 PM

Talk of Clean India .Tax wearing Clean clothes by taxing washing machines .Talk of Clean India ,Tax water heaters to prevent people from buying it so that one can not drink water after heating it and thereby killing germs and ensuring health. In Chins everywhere in Public places and in factories they are two water tap bottles one for cold water and another for hot water side by side.In India in banks they talk of hair cut.use that in tax and have TAX CUT R.PONNAMBALAM

NOT THE WAY TO GOOD DAYS
by R ponnabalam on Nov 13, 2017 08:29 PM  | Hide replies

"Air conditioners, fridges, washing machines and water heaters have all come in this category also. Again, it can be argued that in a country like ours these are luxuries. But the larger issue to me seems to me that there is no application of mind."I think it was one ex Prime Minister who had said while discussing washing machine " we can not always contiunue to have washerman and all that'"We talk of clean India and do not arrange for clean cloths. In China everywhere along with cold water tap there is another hot water tap for drinking water. It helps to drink clean water.Even old grandmother would advise to drink water after heating it up.This P.M. had seen hard days in childhood. His team might not have. This is not the way to good days .I don't prefer to use the language spoken in islamabad sprinkling it with some sanskrit words. So it is good days

Poor worn out tyres in turn consume higher fuel per kilometer. That would cost high fuel expenditure.Non replacement of gear oil in time adds to vibration affecting overall performance.Quality control instruments do not get much return immediately like productive machines.Small unit do not invest in quality control instruments because of this.If we want quality products inspection instruments should be there. They must attract less tax to encourage people to ensure quality of productsR.PONNAMBALAM

Asking what ex.V.P. had told every citizen has a right to ask
by R ponnabalam on Nov 13, 2017 08:01 PM

Rediff what is wrong or indecent in what I wrote. Is the ex.V.P.words and definition of socialist as found in internet undisplayable.I have asked what EX.VP> had told every citizen has a right to ask.
As motorcyles and cars. taxed at the same rate, 28%,as Yachts and personal aircraft the Govt. should immediately arrange ways to let the motorcycle man earn as much as the yacht owners because as per42nd Amendment India is a sovereign democratic Secular" and "Socialist republic",
where .Socialist basically means that wealth is generated socially and should be shared equally by society.Government should regulate the ownership of land and industry to reduce socio-economic inequalities.”If the Govt. doesn’t arrange such ways of income to motorcyclists the constitution is flouted. The custodians of constitution should take steps. The ex.V.P.while addressing the 9th National Conference of the Indian Association of Lawyers had said,“Where do we stand on the ladder of equity? This is a question that citizens of the republic can ask the state after 70 years of legislating welfare laws and adjudicating measures to deliver social justice."Govt. You have equated yachata and air craft owners with motor cyclists who at times have no money for tea.The constitution doesn’t call it equitability .R.PONNAMBALAM

A Govt. of let them eat cake if they have bo bread
by R ponnabalam on Nov 13, 2017 07:38 PM

"Yachts and personal aircraft are taxed at the same rate, 28%, as motorcyles and cars. "The Govt. has gone out of it's wits or the people who set the tax rate belong to "If they have no bread to eat let them eat cake'"category. No wonder the top 10 percent of Indians controlled about 74 percent of national wealth. The poorest 30 percent, meanwhile, had just 1.4 percent of the total wealth," as the ex, V.P said quoting Credit Suisse in 9th National Conference of the Indian Association of Lawyers
