In a country known for rabid breeding, this is a retrograde step. we shold give 1 week leave for couple for not bearing a child till they get thier first child.India badly needs a sanjay Gandhi now who can put to stop to reproduction cycle atleast for quarter of a century
Also ,please have a law that allows a paid paternity leave of about 6-8 weeks so that the father too can bond with the new born. Play with it, Cuddle it and create a bond which is Just Between the father and the child, without any external influences or conditioning.
This need to be seen as a social reform and not a compulsion .first of all , we need to clamp Check on population explosion thru such measures saying that for the first child this facility shall be there at full pay and thereafter at 50 percent for second and at 25 percent for the third and no pay for the fourth child.Ratings for promotion need to have this aspect assessed and down grade the mothers with more than two children .there has to be an effective check on population growth all the time .
