Good Rediff Finally you took some courage to speak the truth . Finally Howard education has some value . Political Blunder is hard truth. Knowledge is above politics. Regards

please stop whiteass licking. those days are gone. If Manmohan is an example of high education it is better to keep Indians uneducated.
Reservation and crony capitalism are the two evils which are killing our country. Reservation killing talent & crony capitalism is killing business. Reservation is designed to target specific caste people particularly brahmins who are natural talent. Similarly by crony capitalism, helping only baniya people to loot the country. Hence all mining mafia, land mafia, stock market scam from baniya. Others were not allowed to do business. Remember all these have happened only after independence. In this only two communities were benefited. SC/SC creamy layer & baniyas.
Ease of doing business is being made more and more difficult bordering gestapo like inspectorate with wild powers.
Not only are the FDI aspirants are hesitant but the small and medium businesses feel threatened by the North where there is a lawyer who has no business to meddle with the business of business.
The big houses have the wherewithal to survive and grow substantially with abundant of funding, and political support available.
Babus in their pockets.
Small and medium cannot afford those luxuries and they are at the mercy of those mercenaries.
Where there are lions and tigers hyenas follow their footsteps.
Kanika Dutta, even if in reality there is gloom and approaching doom; as a wise and learned person you should only present a fake rosy picture otherwise people who live with a false idea of being learned and intelligent will not like it and will make comments without applying their minds against your well researched hard hitting facts.

Looks like a joke by a joker about a joker. Pessimistic, blind, prejudiced, educated(without a purpose). Yes, rediff and its sponsored authors do research. They fix first what is the desired outcome of research and then find facts(with/without/stretched context) to support.
India has no dearth of half-experts who survive on predicting doom all their life and funny thing is \'get paid for it\'.
The writer seems to have been engulfed by UPA regime mindset "chalta hai, Chalne do"! When it is time to slam a system she will be the front runner to point out how the system have rot, how corruption pervaded every walks of life but when time comes to change that system, a corrupt system of such magnitude and diversity she is not the person to allow some reasonable time, not ready to sacrifice anything. She is like those person who always sees the glass as "half empty" and emulate the politicians of opposite camp who find fault with everything under the sun!

This is the 4th year of this Govt. Please tell us clearly what has been done other than curbing investment through ridiculous moves like Demonitization. Farmers are dying, jobs are not being created rather they are being lost & investment climate has dipped. Need I say more? Corruption was nipped in the first year of this Govt. After that what?

India has got a world leader in 2014 and he is proving is supremacy to most of the developed countries world over. Our country is on the lowest priority. Let the Indians live in sweet dreams.

Oh, he is only as honest as the rest of those big time thieves, namely, the Adanis, the Ambanis, the Mittals, the Agarwals, etc.
The only difference was that unlike those other thieves, Bajaj got severely hit by the pea brained venture of demonetization !

Achayan busy in the morning. Why are you jealous of Adanis and Ambanis: They have come up through hardwork. Sitting abroad you too can try rather than wasting your time commenting about komaalis.. et al

There is absolutely no data to prove that there is no investment. This is the standard of journalism in India. Just criticize for the sake of getting once salary from its editors...

So much of is available on CMIE website. It is just that Andhbhakts needs to see that. Even Govt own reports capture them including GDP numbers, IIP numbers etc

The data from the Govt is dodgy & plain deceitful. If the economy were to be performing at 7% growth rate levels, international rating agencies would not place us just above junk bond status. Jaitley tried very hard by wining & dining these people in 5 Star hotels but they went back with their tummies well stocked but wrote scathing accounts on Demonitization & maintained status quo on the rating

I don't think you can give Bajaj the tag of honest businessman, he was just candid enough to state the truth. Bajaj called it correctly but today we are seeing the effects of demonitization having hit farmers in the gut literally. The others like Ambani & Adani are liars & thieves who also fear the third but crooked eye of the Govt to crash their fortunes. They have realized rather late in the day that it is better to hoard cash than invest in an economy where growth numbers are being fudged & other key fundamentals look dodgy. The new GST is another form of institutional havoc being wreaked by a Govt which is clueless about delivery. The reality is business men are savvy enough to realize that they will invest only if the investment climate is conducive & returns are clearly visible not just in the long term but short term as well.

demonetization has dried out all the money from farmer as our former were so rich before demonetization!!! what a joke There is a tendency to link two not related things just to draw out the mileage. The writer is also doing the same way without writing the fact on `what were the commitment by business community for investment and what they not invested. This is a clear case of creating a fear factor.

If you want to be robbed & looted wide eyed you are more than welcome. Like a leopard cannot change it's spots an ignoramus will forever remain an ignoramus.
