True. World is failing. India is also failing. Government's claims of success are false.

Demonetisation - a man made crises
by B B Sharma on Jun 21, 2017 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

All indications suggest that demonetisation was an exercise in futile. One need no data to state the obvious. Then who pays to those who suffered long queues , inconveniences , disruptions to lives , genuine problems caused by man made crises with out any complaint or criticism ?. It was an intellectual cruelty , plain & simple.
Better a witty fool than a foolish wit.

testimony for the abject failure of the demonetization exercise is the pin drop silence maintained about it now by Narendra, the komaaaaali, the countrys PM !

Starting November 8th, 2016 and lasting till about the third week of December, the komaaaaali had gone around braying aloud in an incessantly shrill manner about how the demonetization is going to put an end to many things that have been going on (only under non BJP governments, of course) and how immensely the commoner is going to benefit.

From the 3rd week of December (i.e., from the time the RBI signalled that nearly all the cash is going to come back and that there is perhaps no way to realistically sift out and decide what part of it can be painted as black), however, the komaaaalis ear shattering din about the exercise began to pipe down so fast that even the usually dumb commoners began getting the message about the grand volte face !

Liked bold decision, but better would have been removed one decimal from the currency and replaced new currency in phased manner instead of Dictatoral approach.

2000 notes are slowly being withdrawn. u no more get it atm. jobs creation is stagnant. fuel is at the highest despite crude at 50%less than what it was 3 yrs back. this is the price the nation has to pay for putting a tea vendor to manage the economy instead of an economist.

declare theft as informal sector
by R ponnabalam on Jun 20, 2017 09:21 AM

"The sectors -- adversely affected the most were those in the larger informal sector in rural and urban India, in manufacturing and services."So what is wrong if that informal and illegal sector is affected,Can we call theft as informal sector and allow it?"in Manufacturing and service sector".If one makes quality product at affordable price it will always sell.I think it was told by Mr.Irani, the then the M.D of Tata Steel. From that and from the fact that we are importing heavily from China- a country which went to USSR for help in industrial development almost at the same time we went there- etc, appreciate the damage the economy before DEMO had inflicted on manufacturing sector.Accept it and correct it firstR.Ponnambalam

You are forgotten may be purposely that we have a role to play to make our country prosper.

What has been development-growth is not development in farming
by R ponnabalam on Jun 20, 2017 09:08 AM

Farm loan waiver is in principle not a good thing.’’NO LOAN WAIVER IS A GOOD>.LOAN IS ALWAYS REPAYABLE IN TIME AS PER TERMS of PROMISE AGREEMENT . Repayment Time waiver is NO GOOD. Waiving the term loan and calling it equity hides the following. The loan was returned to the bank;the bank received the loan money back. Then the bank decided to invest in a bankrupt company & invested in that company which was not able to repay the loan. The first think to be done recover all the bank loans ;give no time waiver.Govt. Do it immediately. “But demonetisation increased the burden on the farming community.”We have all along been encroaching water bodies and converting them into real estate reducing water availability to farming sector. Was that helping farming community ?What the Dist.collectors have been doing and what the Govt.has been doing? Call them to books and RESTORE THAT WATER BODIES FIRST.In the past 70 years what all has been done for the improvement of farming community. What is the development in farming sector.Development is different from Growth WE have done enough for the informal sector community or black money sector community to contribute 47% GDP from a contribution of 0%.India go ahead with like that.R.PONNAMBALAM
