In North India, many years, up to this time we are facing the Leaders and Political parties as, "BY THE GUNDAS AND FOR THE GUNDAS". Where ever the Labour Parties rule, there we can see the real democracy that is “BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE Thank God the things will happen sooner the future. Ordinary people like us fed up of these Bloody Jute promising leaders.

Farmers disillusioned with Modi.
by on Jun 14, 2017 10:36 AM

These problems are created by Congress. UP is the biggest state and the loan waiver has strengthened the farmer's confidence in Modi and Yogi. There is no point writing such article to create a negative opinion. There are some sections of the society always pretend to be unhappy. It is like the always weeping wife. It is a Congress plot to create chaos in the country like the one they & CPM tried with the students of JNU. People are no fools.

Farmers who indulge in violence are no better than goons
by S Singh on Jun 13, 2017 07:42 PM

The pathetic and horrific face of mobocracy was on display. The Jat agitators in Haryana, gurjars in Rajasthan and now MP.
Burning down public property and indulging in mindless violence is not correct.
If they have a problem with the government there are other ways to deal with it... including electing a new set of leadership.
But killing, molesting and burning is certainly not correct.
Such agitators should be mercilessly crushed.

Modi vs. farmers
by arungopal agarwal on Jun 13, 2017 12:18 PM

All confusion is created by opposition to fail BJP, Our politics is like that only. We never brought political reforms.
We all are with farmers, till govt.go on wasting tax payers money on politicians and govt. servants by way of DA linked pension and perqs. which is eating majority of tax collection.
No one talks Rs.1 lac crore impact of last wage revision of 2016 and Rs.10 thousand crore of OROP. Everyone should have this right.

The farmers to survive or not
by sasidharan on Jun 12, 2017 10:50 PM

The farmer's demand for waiver of loans is not just, but they are to be given some relief by avoiding interest and a holiday for refund of loan.If govt: is extending waiver of loans and interests on educational loans taken for studying in self financing colleges, what is wrong in extending at least this help to farmers, who feed our people? If the govt: is not helping farmers,in the near fiture, this country will beg for alms as in the years before 1970,when we were begging for PL 480 from US.

It is reported that

Maharashtra will need Rs. 1.3 lakh crores to deliver on its promise of waiving the loans of small and medium farmers with land holdings upto 5 acres !

And M.P will need Rs. 36000 crores if it were to follow suit !

While the Maharashtra govt capitulated at the first signs of trouble from farmers, the M.P govt still hopes it can carry on with its shows of the CMs fast and sound bytes praising the role of farmers without really having to promise loan waivers !

Either way, the governments in these states (as well as that in Rajasthan and perhaps those in many other states as well) now find themselves caught in a cleft stick with little options left but to capitulate and severely compromise the financial health of their states.

And the final nail in the coffin has been promised today by Arun Jaitley, the union finance minister who reiterated that the centre will not and cannot come to the aid of such states to help in delivering on their promises to farmers !

A veritable Pandoras box was indeed opened by Narendra the komaaaaali when he recklessly promised higher MSPs and a 50 % return on investment for farmers during his campaign in the 2014 LS election !
