IT industry in itself does not produce / manufacture or create anything. It is actually skill and efficiency enhancing tool for other industries / professionals / employees etc. As such, looking at the supporting role of IT industry, the IT professionals are over paid and time is ripe to rationalise their salaries vis-a-vis other sectors. Otherwise, IT professionals themselves will be responsible for their own downfall. They must show their readiness to work on salary structure at par with other sectors. They have not come on the earth from heaven. OK, one day this was to happen.
IT characters are overpaid by Indian standards. When a very high majority can live on lesser pays, there is no justification of "rights" for them. High pay is equal to high risk of job-loss, so they better manage. Just having IT skills and zero life-skills does not warrant any rights for them.
Look at those people from other fields working as contract labourers, garment industries who are being exploited by Indusries ,multinationals etc who are not supported by labour departments slogging their life without any basic benefits noP/Gratuity/pick drop etc. Where as these IT professional are highly over paid for virtual work.
It is no secret that Wipro is forcing employees to resign just on the pretext of band inertia and band mass. Audio calls from HR forcing resignation are available for google search. It is highly laughable then that Saurabh is saying heavy words like integrity, transparency and fairness
