TDS should not be charged on bank deposits of up to Rs.20 lakhs per family (couple dependent children), on savings a/cs & pension upto Rs.25000 per month. These are the basics a person needs in a city to survive.

The new version of ITR 2 (PR5) in excel has flaws. You cannot enter Aadhar number nor the 115H reply in the general section of the form. Email to help desk bounces. Call centre advices to use Java.

Again for persons like me who is not computer savvy we do not know the difference between Java or other versions. We have perforce to go to a Tax Consultant. I submit my INCOME and SAVINGS in the Banks are an index of my contribution to the Society. Why do you want to penalise for the CONTRIBUTION. Create a situation where everyone is induced/forced to do their maximum transactions through bank. We withdraw money for our PERSONAL SATISFACTION/BENEFIT. Levy a TDS rising from as little as 1% to 15-20#
%. For Cash withdrawals have a slightly higher TDS. This way I submit would be able to raise a higher tax collection without any human involvement. Personally, I am prepared to deposit all my moneys into the Bank, earn interest thereon and pay by way of TDS (even 10-15%) for GENERAL BENEFIT (TAX) so that I can live in peace and concentrate on my profession/vocation. With every withdrawal I would be automatically paying TAX by way of TDS. It is an honest suggest from a law abiding person. Please do consider--Thanks.

The minor changes which take place almost every year must be widely circulated by the IT department by way of newspaper,TV,FM radio advertisement. Also, the existing tax payers may be sent SMS educating the tax payers. We are mostly not aware of small changes which the department brings about regularly.Going to a CA or a tax consultant is expensive.
