Propagation of false message
by MUKUT ROY on Jul 09, 2017 12:36 PM  | Hide replies

Please do not try to propagate false messages. It is like General Goyables theory( during Hitler regime)who believed that if a lie is told hundred times in different forms it appears true to the people. Modi Government has taken the same path. First they tried to convince people that by demonetization there was no ill effect on Indian economy, which is a totally false statement. In fact due to demonetization growth of the country has come down drastically which has been categorically pointed out recently by World Bank. Now,Modi Goverment is trying to propagate that by implementing GST now in the present form, prices of the commodities will come down, which is again a false statement. In fact by implementing GST at this stage in the present form when most of the businessmen and people are not ready and unaware, prices of most of the commodities will surely rise because most of the businessmen out of fear for uncertain rules & regulations will try to keep big margins in their products resulting in rise of the prices of commodities.

you are right . Many companies were working in excise free zones where the incentives have been reduced . These incentives were required for balanced industrial growth . With the trimming of these incentives cost for the companies has gone up and this will lead to price rise . More over you can not put HUL and small industry working in village at same tax slab. Prices will rise .

We don't need world bank to tell us there will be temporary dip in growth due to Demonetization. From day one those who implemented it knew it and said growth will dip. And yes it was temporary.
See the growth in tax compliance now. The economy is now running with 5 lakh crore lesser cash.
Yes post GST prices will go upm because Tax compliance will go up and traders will pass it on to the consumers. Fine now the govt has enough money to spend to on social and physical security of the nation.
What is the problem if kala dhanda / black market is stopped ? You only see a negative in price rise, but you want to ignore the positives.
Let's come out of this be-Imani ka dhanda.

A uneducatedchaiwala-sweeper is unsuitable for handling educated
by newa on Jul 07, 2017 10:44 AM  | Hide replies

People think uneducated chaiwalas-sweepers are efficent to rule over educated government officers with high degrees and it is wrong to think they know economics and finance also without getting proper education.

Modi is capable only to fight Helpess Indians and Jaitley is not in his right frame of Mind and Modi a known coward as we see with Pakistan handling.

That is why Indians want British and Mughal rule as governments like Modi put entire citizens into hardship and slave labour and no freedom.

Modi says we are afraid to have War with China and Jaitley is not in right state of mind.

We can have war with small countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kashmir, Afganistan, Nepal and Srilanka and also with Indian citizens on unlimited corruption, Income tax notices on people not having any assets or property, stealing notes from them, bullying them in name of GST, Aadhar, Pan card and the taxes have been made so complicated plus farmers have increased cost of all food after getting loan waivers. The laws in multiple GST taxes are so worse even lawyers, judges and governments have difficulty in understanding them. Congress laws were simple and easy.

Now there is lots and lots of inflation and vegetable and milk prices have gone up but still his blind supporters always praise him for lord only knows what.

This chaiwala is good at his trade. He cleans the cup before he serves you a fulfilling chai.

So be patient until the cup is cleaned properly and thoroughly. It is good for your health....and "educated" mind.

There is 18 percent tax on computers, laptops, farmers increased prices even after getting farm loan waivers and farmers are taxable under GST if they rent out the lands for cultivaqtion means indian citizens have to pay more for food. There are 28 GST taxes as each state has its own GST and companies with multiple states have to register in every state seperately.

Let the time test and prove that.

In the meantime one can say that the new system will eventually benefit the economy of Bharatvarsh.

It is to be seen whether the jugalbandhi of the corrupt officials and dishonest merchants is brought to an end, or whether newer avenues open up in the new system.

The so called jugalbandhi has a very powerful research and development machinery to evolve ways and means to browbeat the tax collection.

This is true
by Shyam Sunder on Jul 05, 2017 08:51 PM  | Hide replies

This apart, business people were forced to pay bribes to multiple authorities in multiple places. A good money was to be shed at each Check Post for crossing each city. All these will merge into one point payment of bribes, only to GST authorities. Therefore overall cost will come down and a lot of time can be saved. Prices must come down drastically, but the government has to properly monitor and act. They should clearly advertise the total taxes paid in all forms earlier and tax to be paid as GST.

There is provision of arrest in GST . This is enough toll in hands of authorities to make money even more then what they used to make earlier

Too much of "Will"
by Logan D on Jul 05, 2017 07:33 PM

There were many articles written about HOW GST WILL bring prices down.

I understand, there are three scenarios
(a) No change in tax rate (or) no tax earlier ... no tax now also
(b) Reduction in taxation
(c) Increase in taxation

So far we read that prices of automobiles are cut.

Can anyone write a list with Name of article, old price , new price
