Billing after GST
by dayal motors on Jul 23, 2017 08:21 PM

We get 3-wheeler bodies fabricated from Lucknow. Earlier fabricator was billing us @ 30,000/- plus 14.5% VAT. Now he is insisting to bill @ 30,000/- plus 28% GST. Thus increasing the cost to us by 13.5%. He is refusing to pass on the benefit of ITC to us.
How can we convince him?... P.P. Dhir, Dayal Motors, Agra

MRP still relevant
by Arun Ganapathy on Jul 04, 2017 02:34 PM

It is incorrect to say concept of MRP is not present in GST. MRP is controlled by Legal Metrology Act and is still in existence. GST is subsumed in MRP and hence it is prudent to say, MRP includes GST rather than saying MRP doesn't exist in GST regime.
