It is hard working 15-20 % middle class which is slogging it out for all doles and the rich man's riches rest are parasites like government ,politicians and the so called poor who will remain same for years to come - because they do not want to work hard and also they have happy being that way
I have been saying that even Pareto has been wrong as far his 80-20 was concerned it is 95-05 if not more .95% of Indian's wealth is in less than 5% of the population and the government royally taxes middle class all the time .See in the last few weeks the Petrol price which is up by almost Rs 15 .Unfortunately a car or two wheeler is a must for people working .
It has been a fact from time immemorial that earning riches (aiswarya) is neither undesirable nor an abuse. But it must be based on 'dharma', for 'dharma' (righteous deeds). Even Kautilya advises spending 1/6 th of profits to be spent for welfare of society in various fields. It's only when the whole process becomes devoid of 'dharma'such earning becomes dangerous for themselves and the world'
These Rich people have very strong affiliation to Congress Party earlier and now BJP ... jab Saiyya Bhaye thanedar , to Dar kahe ka .... These guys must garland these two political parties with full dedication fir the favours they are doling now as also earlier .... Dhanya Ho Bharat ..,,,Bharat Mata ki Jai .
Just recently, it became apparent that the "CASH" held by Indians was Rs 15.4 LAKH CRORES. And this article says that TOTAL WEALTH of Indians is Rs 210 LAKH CRORES! ($3.1 TRILLION).
I guess the Indian share market, all the gold in the country, and all the real estate in the country put together, and all the fixed deposits in the country put together only account for not even 15 times the cash floating around in the country?
First of all remove all tax exempted so called investments / loans, Tax at source for all and no exemption of deduction at sources,
Remove all bogus investments and withdrawals etc.
India is a corrupt country and corrupt / unscrupulous people / Administrations / Establishments. Even the poorest maintain smart phone. Only consolation should be lesser tax-rates: 10-15-20%. No meaningless surcharges etc.

Whilst I agree India is a corrupt country, it is also the home for the Laziest citizens in the world. The poverty is not because they are born poor - they are not using the available time and resources to develop themselves. I am from a very poor family with 4 brothers & 6 sisters, started my life in 972 with RS.15 per month salary. I worked very hard, average 18 to 20 hrs a day, non-stop 365 days starting from watchman/paper-distributor/ironing job for others clothing etc.etc. Today, I am proud to say that I am comfortable, Irving a car, owners nag flats etc. all this not with Govt privilege, purely due to my strenuous efforts. Let people come forward to work hard, do any job as it comes in front of them, and am sure everyone will cross the BPL figures without much difficulties.

The only reason why people reject hard work is due to Govt policies to spoon-feed a large majority of population on caste/faith/gender basis for political benefits, saying ther'e deprived, to keep them poor for ever. There is neither level playing field for everyone nor award /recognition of merit entirely a result of a faultily drafted/ adopted/interpreted and implemented constitution. I salute you being an honorable exception.
