Why bank unions are opposed to incentive plan
by susarla suryaprakasam on Jan 13, 2017 11:54 AM

Because the inefficient who are their members and from whom they collect monthly contributions to union fund is benefited, which otherwise is not available. I am not bothered by this. More important is incentivising several such services like canvassing business, recovery of overdue loans, business expansion etc. which in the normal course form part of their regular works, for which this is being followed in all Pvt. institutions to improve upon, which all PSUs including colossal loss-making white elephant like Air India refuse to follow as no one gets it initially and one has to put effort to. India is a beggar country and beggars' unions do not want discriminatory S&Ps.

Bank employees esp. sbi, pnb and other public bank employees are way lazy and they dont want to work at all. I think its time govt gives all of them VRS and gives them retirement as this guys are the ones which are hindering the growth of this public banks. there is no courtesy, there is no sense of work, they dont care about your problsm, they dont want to work more. it will take ages for them to count cash, solve a common account query and like wise they continuously indulge in delaying their work. While in pvt banks you will also see very young men and women and they work at great speed while this elephants are a liability. better to give them VRS and retire. Also unions are almost in hands of left parties and they will oppose every proposal that ruling govt gives. they want hefty pay but won't work on basis of performance basis cause they knew that they dont work they just do time pass.

Why incentive for Banks for normal service of collection and sanction at different levels at different dates. If allowed, CBI, Income Tax, Customs, Sales Tax, Police depts will start thinking on those angles. Is it because dealing with fund/cash directly ?

Perqs. and retiral liability in all govt. sector is 2.5 times of their basic pay, therefore all govt. employees always oppose any move towards privatisation. Similarly all non performers, suspected corrupts and unfit are comfortably sitting on their seat till retirement, whereas country has mass scale un-employed, govt. is not dare enough to change their service condition. This drama we all are seeing from 1950 onward.
Now a days in number of cases, bank employees behaved like Kings and openly arguing speaking why not you get us terminated if not satisfied etc.,etc.,
Actually organised people are dictating their terms with common man who is un-organised and not leaving govt. to negotiate with their terms.
Service conditions of all govt. people is to be amended drastically to make it equal to private sector and save tax payers money wasted.
