How they confuse the Indian people in budgets and make them happy
by JA on Jan 03, 2017 12:48 PM

women will get 1000 rebate on the taxes

we need not pay service tax on eating food in hotels currently charged 20 to 30 percent but hotel assocation says if you come to hotel be ready to pay the 30 percent or do not come

there will be 0.25 percent discount on cashless and digital transactions but you will have to pay 2.5 percent as service charges

petrol price is reduced by 10 paisa today tomorrow it is increased by 2 rupees then 1 rupee then 3 rupees and then reduced by 5 paisa

cylinder cost will be now 550 rupees earlier it was 250 rupees we reduced by 5 rupee and increased by 100 rupees three times in two years and now we will reduce it by 5 paisa soon

there will be one rupee discount on some items fridge stove chairs furniture mobiles and tv will be cheaper by one rupee but there will be 22 percent tax on luxury goods such as tv fridge cooking stove utensils

there will be less service tax now and we have removed service tax on going to washrooms but you will have to pay 15.6 percent service tax on all services including going to restaurants hotels and places which have washrooms in them

so these are schemes how people are fooled in one way or another

for wearing khadi which no one wears there will be 20 percent discount on khadi the sales of which is 100 crores

breathing air no money will be required but you will have to pay to visit parks

This shows we are weak minded and poor in economics and easy to foool

by MANEESH DAVE on Jan 03, 2017 10:16 AM

Common man suffers huge loss due to inflation caused by fiscal policy failure of govt. The tax percentage should be reduced if inflation rises and wiseversa.

Harassment in India
by JA on Jan 03, 2017 05:15 AM  | Hide replies

In india it is harassment and even clerks in income tax department have four houses each plus row houses then how will compliance take place when they themselves are tax evaders

The G-20 and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development-led multilateral policy works to combat global harmful tax practices culminated in a broader consensus on an inclusive framework of policy measures that shall find their way into country specific tax rules, as well as more than 3,000 bilateral tax treaties; all of this will come in the next 12 months or so.

The July 2016 ministerial-level symposium held in China laid the foundation for work on enhancing, pro-growth tax policy.

I agree. Pl consider the following alternative. With the demonetisation, a large no. of us have now Bank A/c--big tax base. We get INCOME for giving service to the Society--don't tax INCOME. We draw money from Banks to get services from the Society. Therefore, tax outgo from Banks by way of graded TDS. Have a higher TDS for cash withdrawals to keep it under check. Total withdrawals likely to be around 1500/2000 lakh crores. Even a flat TDS of 2% would yield 30/40 lakh crores. Seed the bank a/cs with Aadhaar so that all the accts of each would be reflected by Aadhaar. Business have multiple deposits/withdrawals. Levy a uniform TDS of 1/2%. Everyone would be spared from submitting tax returns as Bank a/c would be the basis of TDS. Friends pl consider this alternative taxation method and write to the Govt. Thanks.

One cannot differentiate rotation of money in a Business and Loans from Income / Revenue in a Bank transaction. Better remove the TDS and balance the impact by means of ST in each spending
