Regarding NPA recovery, while DRT and Lok Adalat cases have shown appreciable increases, recoveries through SARFAESI have shown significant declines. The reasons for this need to be analyzed and loopholes in the act need to be plugged. The phenomenal rise in NPA levels of certain banks (IOB: over 22%) is certainly alarming and should be addressed immediately.
If we study the above data, Mallya offered Rs.6000 crore against total of Rs.12000 crore, a very good offer, why he has not been accommodated. Is it a system failure or something else.
