Yeah funny indeed. Why can't rediff say not much of black money around and ART is not worth buying with white money...

These so called ARTS are in fact overpriced. Yes, we appreciate the imagination of the artists, time spent to give it a life, but the middlemen/sellers also grab a lot in between and make it expensive. These days, it has become a fashion to own such things and most of these items are bought by unaccounted (by government) money. so, naturally, after note withdrawl, the demand might have come down.
Demonetization did not steal the color from art. how is it possible? it is possible when artist involve in black money game or anti country activities. Common man have no problem with demonetization, but only secular (anti Indian)face the problems with demonetization why?
As usual, rediff and its writers know only one thing : how to lam bast BJP government in some way or the other.
Before writing this article, why did the writer not analyse or assess as to why these so-called patrons of art need to pay for their beloved paintings and other art features in cash?? Why they can not pay the artists through cheques or bank transfers ??
Instead of criticizing a medieval way by dealing in art in cash and using their ill- gotten wealth , the writer wants to proliferate this mechanism and wants the staus quo to continue. This is simply ridiculous and needs to be condemned in all ways possible.
So far the flow of easy/black money was rampant in India. If people are so interested and fascinated about the Painting/arts .. then definitely they can buy even without easy/black cash ..
The ill gotten wealth can no longer be laundered by such ridiculous & rigged auctioning process.Well done Modiji,India will be grateful to your forever.
