For people who want to get drunk, what is a deviation to the nearest village/town with a liquor outlet and back on the highway?
Not practical, but the rule may reduce alcohol-related incidents on highways to an extent of probably 20% less

Ban of liquor shops on Highways

Excellent order to ban liquor shops on highways which should be implemented by all state gifts throughout India ,not withstanding the fact that govt excise revenue comes down considerably by fall in sales.More than revenue, value of human lives saved by fewer accidents(80% accidents are due to drunken driving by commercial trucks/taxis) is highly valuable and public should welcome this courts order as otherwise any of us may be the victims of highway accident caused by the other driver fully drunk& dashing against your vehicle however careful you may be driving.
