The so called Gujarat model has no core inherent strength of sustainability or replication. Every state has its own strengths and drawbacks and a good strategist would like to put in place a system which identifies these and utilizes the same for the overall benefit of the society. So, one so called model in one state cannot be imposed throughout the country. Several states, which do not have the so called Gujarat model, have fared much better. It is high time, our PM gave up the promotion of so call Gujarat model and allow each region and state to blossom on their own inherent strengths. Mr Modi would do well to concentrate on the damage control in respect of demonetisation fiasco and haphazard implementation of GST, put down the religious fanatics who have a free run, and handle Kashmir issue pragmatically,to do well in the coming elections. Criticizing opponents and ridiculing them cannot always win elections.
