just cant understand
by Ajay Prasad on Aug 31, 2017 04:22 PM

i discovered 3 nos 1000 rupee and 1 old 500 rupee notes in my house in Feb '17. many other people I know have 'found' few old currency notes. Wonder how much all this will add up to across the country.
Are all these notes 'black money'? I just cannot understand why the govt. wont take them back? Can one be penalised for being careless? How will Govt. lose out if it takes back such amount? Need some answers

Narendra Modi, who has unarguably
by piri on Aug 31, 2017 10:35 AM  | Hide replies

been the most corrupt politician in India for quite some time now, relied merely on the gullibility of most north Indian commoners to build up his cloak of being an anti corruption crusader.

What he actually did when he thought no one was looking was :

1. Sat on the Lok Pal bill (passed by Parliament in 2013) and prevented it from being implemented

2. His regime saw the murders of 64 persons who became whistleblowers on big corruption with none of the accused being prosecuted under the Whistleblowers Protection Act passed by Parliament in 2014 May

3. His regime saw the systematic dilution of the provisions of the RTI act with tactics such as refusal to reply to an ever larger number of queries and huge understaffing of the RTI department of the Central govt

4. Spent a world record amount of Rs. 12000 crores in campaign expenses for a political party (BJP) in a single election (2014 LS election)

5. His regime transferred the 3 ED officers who dared to file an FIR and a case against Gautam Adani for laundering Rs. 5468 crores by round-tripping his corporate profits from Mauritius using the P note FDI investment route. The officers had still more than a year each left in their tenure in the ED office in Ahmedabad and no cabinet note accompanied their pre-term transfer (as mandated by the CAT)

6. Resolutely opposed the appointment of a Lok Ayukta in Gujarat for 12 years during his tenure as CM

7. Gave away hundreds of hectares of revenue land to Gautam Adani in Mundra at a price of Rs. 16/- per sq metre when the neighbouring plots of land were given to war widows at the subsidized price of Rs. 260/- per sq metre

8. His regime saw the emaciation and laying to waste of the previously profitable GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation) with its debt mounting to Rs. 19000 crores (more than double the amount stolen by Vijay Mallya, the fugitive). The GSPC became a sacrificial public resource in the hands of the BJP govt of Gujarat in order to fatten up the rapacious Mukesh Ambani led Reliance group.

9. His regime saw the ascent of Gujarat from rank 10th in 2001 to rank 2nd in 2014 in terms of pollution ! Thousands of industrial units were given consent by the Gujarat pollution control board under the air and water acts without even the basic wherewithal to prevent soil, water and air pollution, so much so that the CAG was forced to observe in their 2011 report that even the sea around Mundra and Jamnagar had become black !

10. Under his watch the BJP continues to break record after record in election campaign and media expenditure for assembly as well as even local body elections !

An eye opener account of BJP mis - rule & still boasting. Perhaps it is not in the DNA of BJP to accept a failure or a mistake.

black money is again out from bank accounts and moving and changing hands very fast...I think biggest mistake modi ji had done is to trust on these old system people like bankers, CA,CS , accountant,IT official,ED official..etc all of these people are equally corrupt and milking money like anything due to demonstration.

There is surely data with the IT dept on the black money deposited during demonitisation. The question is how they use this data. It is obvious the ones who held black money deposited it to the bank using small savings account. It is very difficult to scrutinize millions of this bank accounts. So ultimately the jugaad of the black marketeers won the show. But the silver lining is they will be frightened to hoard money again. This is the single most benefit of demonitisation. Added with GST generating Black money will be difficult..

It is just imagination one CA told IT officers have the largest amount of black money in India. So how can people who have black money catch others with black money. Secondly all lalus and mayawati combined have only 0.05 percent of the black money. So to catch 0.05 percent we cannot ban all notes. 30 lakh government officers and police are the ones who owm 80 percent of the black money. Bank people made commissions of 30 percent exchanging the notes so black money got regenerated and also went to bank officers who exchanged the notes inside the banks keeping the Banks closed to public.

It is the biggest theft in history where everyone stolemoney like anything from public

Long live Modi and his Demonitisation

when at the start I was saying it cannot stop the generation of black money nobody listened and now RBI itself is saying that 99% of total money(500 and 1000 notes) are back in the system. At least now people will understand that except for harassing common people to be standing in ATM queue to get their hard earned money this government has done nothing and serve this report of RBI as eye opener for them. Long live demonitisation

For your kind information I am a central government servant and our class is the one which is contributing majorly for income tax that government is getting but I think the same can not be said about you my dear. And behold, now the finance minister is saying he has done all this to reduce cash in economy and to increase the tax base what a convenient way of be fooling people by changing the objective of entire demonitisation exercise from removing black money to reducing cash in economy and increasing tax base as per government convenience and let me tell you indians people are naive enough to buy that argument and hail this government for that too. The government has redefined its objective to fool people what a guts they have. And let me tell you that indian people will still believe them because still there are some blind followers of Modi and its government and they will hail all its policy no matter what without even thinking twice. If objective was different why the government was mum these many months to spell it out. Nobody was going to hang them for that. it is only redefining the objective of entire demonetization exercise again to mislead people in believing in what government is doing and it is not their mistake it is mistake of people who believe the. what a nerve they have got to justify their doing (demonetization by government) Hail the Modi government and its policy.

For the misery that was heaped by the ignorent arrogant arun jaiteley on the poor mllions because of demonitisation one does not understand why modiji does not remove him yet.Opposition like congress and others will not ask for his resignations because Arun jaitley has helped them tremendously by allowing conversion of black into white to a large paet and also by not going after sonia and others. There can be no better savier for congress than arun jaiteley who is neither an economist nor a politician. If Modiji wants to correct the past mistakes of his govt remove arun jaiteley as FM and give that job to Dr.Swamy.Then you will see that many election promises of modiji can be honored.A large part of very corrupt delhi BJP will be exposed. But this will be good for the country.
