Infosys Crisis
by Ashish Kulkani on Aug 23, 2017 12:22 PM

Infosys is surrounded by hopeless board members including Mr. NRN, therefore downfall is inevitable. This is drama and was part of personal interest.

Poor Analysis

The culprit of this sordid drama is currently sitting in Beijing as head of BRICS Bank Shri K. V. Kamath. AS Chairman he brought back Murthy to run Infosys after he had retired & Murthy clearly showed that corporate governance was never on his radar by inducting his son into the company. Today Murthy is raising corporate governance issues about Sikka & the Board when he himself is guilty of perjury. Kris Gopalakrishnan is wedded in principle to Murthy & will only end up doing Murthy's bidding. In fact he may endanger the company further by wading into non existent controversies like Panaya to justify Murthy's tirade against Sikka & the board. The board will have to appoint someone who has no ties with Murthy or any of the founders & should be a professional CEO. Further the IT Industry is undergoing a tectonic shift in terms of Artificial Intelligence dominating the landscape & the new CEO will have to be a very hands on guy who can steer Infosys in this difficult period. He will have to carry on the good work of Sikka, prevent job losses, make a mammoth & gigantic company nimble & amenable to change yet keep the company interested for shareholders by being profitable. KG is part of the old guard with old thinking hence it would be a terrible mistake to appoint him. None of the founders including Nilekani have the mettle to take Infosys to the next level.

Time Kamath n Nrn are shown the door!! They should have retirement 65/70. These are senile and localised politically motivated !! For their personal survival!!

I am quite amused by Kris calling people close to Sikka as Punjabi Coterie. Was it not known to Murthy that Sikka is a punjabi & may induct some people who he can trust & may come from his background. If what Kris is saying is correct, than Infosys is a rank castist organinization full of senior management from Tamilian background.
