Who selected SIkka ?
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Aug 21, 2017 08:40 AM  | Hide replies

Mr Raghavan makes valid points regarding compensation etc. But we must also keep in mind that it was Murthy himself who selected Sikka as new CEO and praised him handsomely when he was inducted.

Even if so, I don't think it justifies the actions and inactions of Sikka and the Board, in the context of the investor concerns raised.

Mr. NRN and co-founder board members are responsible for the downfall of Infosys. In the tenure of Sikka, infosys was running in profits. This is irony of Indian management. Since none of the co-founder couldn't become CEO, as Mr. Sikka non co-founder being CEO, this is exact the point, ego of board members including NRN got hurt and therefore this is was is infosys fiasco all about. Got save such egoistic top managements.

There can be an error judgement while selecting.

for example the then syndicate had selected Indira in the hope that she will do as directed by the syndicate that was subsequently kicked around by her.

Cyrus was installed with Ratan's full knowledge and consent. Yet, the former was kicked out most unceremoniously.

In HP the lady who steered HP exceptionally well as kicked out by the owners.

At Infosys Murthy may be just 3.5% but the founders together form a formidable forum of 13%, plus perhaps get supported by institutions to restructure the board to suit the founders and in the best interests of the shareholders.

Infosys is not just an IT corporate.

It is a citadel and monument of the values that Bharatvarsh so dearly cherishes.

How could this be considered as error judgement and over the cost of share holders and investors. This is pure board of directors (co-founders) grid towards the position and money. No one has raised concern when Mr. SD Shibulal former CEO for infosys, who is owning 700 apartments in USA, few more in Germany and India. There was no unrest within organisation. Because he was one of the co-founder From where did this Maya came from below link for your reference

Infy is a reflection of modern corporate Bharatvarsh.

Prompt remedial and damage control actions are needed to be taken on war footing before the situation deteriorates further.

Restoration of investor confidence is of supreme priority.

Corporate misgovernance,
by chanakya maurya on Aug 20, 2017 11:36 PM

It is a slow poisoning enroning the environment to an eternal doom, where the authorities like Sebi and CLB must step in to protect the interests of the stake holders.

An unusually substantial cash under a corporate misgovernance can rapidly result into an enron like situation from which Infy needs to be saved on an SOS footing.

fight between the two is for the money.
both are after personal benefits, sikka in terms of salary and perks , NM as dividend . But both denied and overlooked the other employees of lower ranks or the beginners. They are still surviving on meagre amount they get.
Even a college lecturer draws more salary than their counter parts in Infosys with half the work load and more holidays. In Infosys , one is working round the clock and still struggling to survive . though company has good earning but workers are deprived of their good package.

NRN and his associates are icon for morality, ethics and all those values we cherish in corporate governance but not adhered to by most of the corporates. We do not need self-centered usptarts to usurp this south based iconic company which had given opportunities to thousands of our young engineers.

Narayana murthy muat have restrained from public attack
by pramod mallya on Aug 20, 2017 12:54 PM  | Hide replies

This article glorifies narayana muthy. He must have restrained from public attack on his own promoted reputed company. Such actions really hampers the reputation of the company. It is said in some comments that Nm is like father to a misleading son. In any case he should have restrained himself from publicity. What he could do in his second term as infy chief . it is time for him to guide the company and share his vast experience in the field in proactive manner in the interests of company
