by jaidyal pal on Sep 25, 2016 09:04 PM

This C.M Siddaramaiah is basically a butcher as the time he assumed office of C.M , he ordered butcher houses to be opened & buturing of cow s justified. He is doomed to be finished not only in this life but in next life also he may be borne in animal world .It is very surprising that this type of man is cm of most progressive state.Any way his days are numbered.

Be realistic to solve the problem
by nagabhushan narappa on Sep 24, 2016 03:26 PM

if 114 tmc is generated in karnataka cauvery basin please calculate what is share of each state as per central govt gazette. using so many foot of water not required to grow rice this statement applicable to both side farmers. please adopt new techniques and save water for drinking and future generation. no need to leave/give your allotted to other state. politicians dont want to educate farmers in these aspects they have other personal problems to look into it seems. If started implimenting from now water will Not be an alien issue over coming years as per cauvery is concerned.

Schools teach Habitats come up where water availability is there
by R ponnabalam on Sep 20, 2016 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

High schools teach that habitats come up where drinking water facility is available and Civilizations flourished along river banks.Congress Govt. in it's hey days showered Govt.of India industries on Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, denied them to Taminadu and Kerala as these later were under non Congress Governments. The Industrial growth in Banglure lured one and all and Banglore in its expanse didn't have water for all the people and Karnataka should plan for Ground water etc was lost as it felt comfortable to rob Cauvery Basin of it's riparian rights. If Cauvery water has to be supplied to Banglore,Cauvery would have flowed into Banglore from time immemorial. This is our leadership fault at all levels. Our Planning helps rich people to amass wealth not to serve national interests.Everywhere we see high rise building habitat with no waterbody in neighbourhood
Now Karnataka has effectively challenged the idea of India .Do we acceptit?

You are wrong on facts. Tamil Nadu is more industrialized than Karnataka. TN has got more largesse from the central government than Karnataka. Whichever party is in power does not matter for TN. Main Dravidian parties have been able to stitch coalition with leading party in the centre whether Congress or BJP. For example DMK was part of NDA 1999-2004 and UPA from 2004 to 2014. In the case of Karnataka, more often than not party in power is in opposition to the ruling party in the centre. It is only in IT industry that Bengaluru is leading Chennai. And regarding water bodies are concerned, most of the rivers in Chennai are so heavily polluted that BOD is zero and no marine flora or fauna can survive. Cooum river flowing through Chennai is an apt example.

This discussion is irrelavant. TN is more industrialised than Karnatak is acceptable. Of course TN gets more share from Centre while comparing Karnataka - Just bear in mind TN is a bigger state may be bigger over 35% and there is no relavance linking with who rules/ruled centre. In fact TN is being ruled by opposition parties about 50 years while Karnataka is not so.
Reg Cooum River Cannot be compared at all as it runs about 70km from a adjacent district Tiruvallur (may be less than 10kms in that dist) and passes thru Chennai. Since independence no body would have seen it as a river.
Reg: Cauvery River it travels more distance in TN than Karnatak. Once the Origin area was ruled by Chola Kings and it was with Madras Presidency till Independence. Hence there was no problm.
