MGNREGA is a big scam started by the Congress and BJP is finding it difficult to stop it due to electoral considerations. The beneficiaries are fake and the work shown to be done is fake. They dig the same ditch every year in the name of drought mitigation efforts. It is huge source of corruption and black money.
Instead of taking a loan of Rs.1 lac crore of govt. servants pay/pension, MNREGA was needed to provide employments to masses. But Modi has given up this reform and come to line of congress.
