Only this time they are doing some job. Other-wise they are enjoying more Holidays or sitting idle in bank most of the duty hours. Shame on you for your sympathy on Bank employees.
Thanks

Judiciary should see the intention behind
legislative action and must encourage good
and wise actions.

Simply to criticise, will not be taken in good
taste by common men.

Don't expect judiciary to be different than the tune of Opposition parties. Most of the judges are coming leftists schools and for them anything radical changes is unimaginable. Can you imagine anywhere in the world that Supreme court rejecting the constitutional amendment made by democratically elected government? Our SC did not follow the constitutional amendment made on National Judicial Appointments Commission. However, they expect citizens of this country should abide by their judgment. How do you trust their wisdom and how such bipartisan (elected govt and legal system) system can work together?

Well said. SC judges want to rule the country without any accountability. Even their own judges openly came out against the collegium system and still they want to follow the same. If they are much interested in the welfare of people then why they rejected the NJAC passed by parliament and major state assembly.

The Supreme (?) court
by Vidyut Shenoy on Nov 18, 2016 04:41 PM  | Hide replies

Is it our supreme court or another anti-centre political party? The court does not do its own work but complains incessantly about what the Central government does not do. The bureaucratic functioning of courts have seen crores of cases languishing for attention, but the courts don't care. When it comes to PILs however, the action is extra quick.
The CJI cried for appointment of judges. Of the 77 they had recommended many were appointment, and the rest were found to have dubious credentials, and sent back for review. The court wants a revamp of systems in the Central government, but frowns at any suggestion to change itself. It has opinions on everything under the sun, except its own inefficient self.
Its overreaching is unhealthy for the country. The courts will remain inefficient, biased and sloppy with a 'wise' word on anything under the sun but itself. It treads on everybody else's toes, but does not change itself.
Are we going to see a new political party ... Supreme Court of India?

If SC can refuse the recommendation of government, why government reciprocate the same to SC to taste their own medicine? Are SC above constitution?

Demonetization and Apex court comments
by daniel thorat on Nov 18, 2016 04:37 PM  | Hide replies

The decision of Modi to refuse withdrawal of tax paid money from banks appears to be illegal and pointless, unless it is intended that such legally withdrawn money should not be used for lawful purposes like elections. All the tall talk about ram-rajya in India from December end etc. is another nauseating jumla.

Gargle your throat one more time buddy. No where it is said that you can't withdraw your tax paid money. It is just that line is too big for you to stand there to withdraw your money.

Master stroke is likely to fielded by SC judges and lower court judges. You never know - they may field the ball from this master stroke and throw it to opposition parties to catch it!

The Judiciary is not able to do their own work properly. Prolonged cases for decades. Unnecessary trials and hearing is taking a toll on time line and want to poke their nose on how to run the economy.

If they put time line for a case to dispose in few days, I am sure, lot of people will be out of inconvenience.

Why are people frantic only in Delhi and in thenorth? Has the banksing system been poor in that area compared to other parts of the country? there are no pictures emerging from smaller cities or even from Chennai,Bangalore etc. Things are improving. The government should allow Rs 500 notes till the new notes are in circulation.

I agree with your observation. Some of the Electronic media are zooming their camera lenses to close up and how the same crowd repeatedly. It has been their practice to create the hype for negative reasons. What worries more is judges of this country are falling for it. It confuses people whether we have right intellectual people in the form judges in our country?
