note ban
by brajeshwar nath on Nov 18, 2016 09:13 AM

I am reminded of MB Tuglak. From one wrong decision to another. Flawed policies, very poor execution. Back to the reign of nincompoops and yes men.And yes we have a rationing of currencies. Now on govt. would decide how much money you can hold, how much can you spend. Rest will be in banks. So, banks will have a robust balance sheet while economy slumps and people suffer. Looks like a case of intensive lobbying by digitisation players, digitised payment services companies to influence govt. Who says corruption has gone. only the faces have changed

ARUN JAIN
A good & again Timely Decision
by ARUN JAIN on Nov 18, 2016 01:03 AM

Long queues, mad rush for immediate exchange of notes, the wicked desires to make hay while the sun shines, standing in queues again & again for others & getting commissions or bargaining in process; the urge to deposit and remove and stash the money at home...etc ! A huge country with over 6,5 lakh villages ,over 560 Districts, 29 States ,6 U.T. over 4 lakh ATM ... ,huge sums to be carefully exchanged and recorded …over and above the total secrecy required in process of demonetization . A few days of hardships in this gigantic operation is very natural. Unscrupulous people and negative and pervert minded politicians must not exploit and add fuel to fire. Attitude of tolerance, cooperation, understanding ,compassion, constructive and positive suggestions, support and help is required and expected from one and all who can apply their brains for the betterment and good of OUR COUNTRY. The Prime Minister & his team need all praise and Congratulations. It is a huge task. In days to come normalcy will be back again. PM has asked for 50 days to transform and show India the way the honest ,disciplined people - the citizens of India want & not for this process of deposit, exchange. Then there are reasons why the cooperative banks cannot be assigned this important responsibility. Time the Countrymen realize!

by Logan D on Nov 17, 2016 10:24 PM

Good decision of the Government to relax withdrawals upto Rs 2.5 lakhs for Marriage purpose. Looks BJP leaders' daughter wedding limit is only Rs 650 crores, as in the case of Janardhan Reddy

Jai Bharat

Its good that our Freedom Fighters had not considered their personal sufferings/grieves for the sake of India's Independence otherwise we would have remained slave for infinite time. These people don't want to sacrifice their personal comforts for the sake of Nation / Bharat / India. Lack of Nationalism. Those who don't want to co-operate (i.e. doctors / hospitals etc) should be punished immediately to establish rule of Law.These people don't see (or don't want to see or pretend not to see) what benefit Nation is getting by this demonetization.

Modi should ask all Indians who have more than 500 gm gold with them to declare it immediately. The gold prices will crash, and all money put into gold will be exposed. The IT folks can find out where the money came to buy all that gold. He should also allow all private and government clinics and hospitals to accept 500 and 1000 notes for treatment and other expenses till enough new notes are printed

Black mney?
by mukaddim hussain on Nov 17, 2016 05:42 PM  | Hide replies

It remains to be seen how many Jan Dhan Yojana Accounts which had zero balance only, have seen deposit of lakhs of rupees all of a sudden. Will the govt. be able to catch them? The main objective of the govt. is not to eradicate black money but to collect the unaccounted money. No big fish will be caught. Elections ahead and hence.

how can u say that no big fish will be caught. All corrupt fishes have to be caught here only. Excellent move. These Ultra Big Fishes spread the message that dont catch them with "demonetisation Net". Of course, they are giving other reasons, as they cant say straight forward that their corrupt & fake money is going to be vanished.
