The Ultimate Step
by Sunil Kelkar on Nov 15, 2016 08:12 PM

The ultimate step in India's war against corruption should be a legal provision of capital punishment for corruption by an elected public representatives, right from those elected to Lokasabha/Rajyasabha down to the members of Grampanchayats.

Good move, bad reputation
by sirisha k on Nov 15, 2016 06:35 PM

It is a good move by government to control black and fake money, but the implementation is very poor. They have no proper planning, overnight it is not possible to print so many currency. They should prepared well for this Cancellation of notes. Instead of good name to government, it got very bad reputation. It may cause damage to BJP in next elections.

Why bring in Mallya, why not Dawood who escaped during cong rule
by rajesh venkatraman on Nov 15, 2016 05:13 PM  | Hide replies

Its quite strange that Mallya looted this country when the congress was in power by taking loans from banks and banks did not ask for security deposit or collateral before giving loans because of the political pressures from the then center and after the congress came to power in Karnataka the state govt also did not act against him even when there were many complaints against him and all his factories and construction groups were based in Bangalore. Now the very same congress is saying that modi govt allowed him to escape. Can the central govt now accuse the congress in saying that Dawwod was allowed to escape during their time and even now they are not able to arrest inspite of 30 yrs now after escape and congress were ruling for almost 20yrs.
People are standing not because of the true people who are suffering but because of many thugs who are standing converting (exchanging)the black money of the congress leaders to white day in and out using the same people at different banks

Congress n others unnecessarily blaming Govt... It is the duty of bank officials to impound the passport of Mallya through court but they failed not even that after account becoming NPA bank had extended finance... There are crores of borrower / people who are intentionally not repaying dues of banks or lenders...

Find a method to reduce curruption without involving legal system
by gururaj upadhyaya on Nov 15, 2016 04:34 PM

Any other measure by the govt, means people go to jail for few days/ months come out in bail after that and the cases remain pending for years together. Nothing happens to the money. This is what we have seen for past 70 years in case of all the scams. Mallya is just an example. I would appreciate demonetization even if it is partially successful. Even land reform act, RTI, Adhar card or liberalization were not 100% successful. Even with these measures poor and innocent have suffered. Demonetization is just one such step.

Peoples story telling ability is being displayed
by Shyamu on Nov 15, 2016 04:00 PM

Mr. Tomy PV.... Your story is correct to a point that the dirty water is polluting river but the other part that the rivers being dried up is your imagination, as the dirty water is being replaced/ blocked and because of that the water levels have come down and people understand and are cooperating to a large extent. And in this version if you find fault than you might be having some biased views on some section of political spectrum.
