writing an Article but do not bother about the rules
by atul gupta on Nov 20, 2016 11:10 AM

A person who writes such a long an article have forget to read the rule (which my poor fellows were well aware) that the person who wants to get exchanged the money has to do it himself/herself. Yes, you could deposit money (if it is not funded by ill-gotten money) and withdraw without any need for exchange. But, then you cannot make sure that those persons who legitimately wants currency exchanged get a long queue. create a nuisance.
Yes, netas who got the ill-gotten money will not come in line and exchange the money. they will send person with authority letter and that will not be accepted, so someone will use her whole family member to do this for such netas.

And it is getting
by piri on Nov 19, 2016 12:22 PM

knottier and knottier !

Last night, the govt, clearly showing signs of being under immense pressure, suddenly announced that the banks will serve only senior citizens today. This was apparently in response to the spate of deaths of people waiting in queues for long, most of them elderly citizens.

But last minute changes in plans do have their pitfalls. Today, in many places across India, long queues are reported of men and women of all ages waiting before banks with bank staff and policemen having a hard time trying to convince people that banks will serve only the elderly today !

The foolish as usual Narendra Modi assumed, in his typical style, that all the commoners of the country are his devotees and all of them would have heard the TV announcements of last night that today is reserved for the elderly !

Netas using chamchas , they go in lines for their masters like slaves repeatly some time 4 times a day with different IDs in different banks to exchange notes. Unemployed charge Rs.400 to stand in ques every time they stand for exchange. 30 to 40% some charge to use their A/C to deposit 2.5 lacs of old notes. Some hawkers r exhanging old notes @ 40% discount in back lanes. what a scam.

WHITHER INDIA ??????
by Joseph M J on Nov 19, 2016 11:02 AM

Someone lost life and someone could not get proper and timely medical care/treatment (the bread earner is gone; any compensation ??), family functions and even marriages postponed, timely salary disbursement affected, stove-burning of downtrodden interrupted, negligible business, profit of which is not sufficient for the monthly rental - problems are galore !!! When will all this be set right ?? Imagine the total cost of all this !!! Perhaps much much more than the sum total of all black money. For some, this has created a gap that can never be bridged, vacuum that can never be filled. Authorities are apparently busy assessing black money and money hoaders and some of the authorities seem to be so busy with matters of their own well-being that they do not able to spare time to think about others !!! It's like an ocean - endless; ever expanding horizon !!! When are we going to see the other side - WHITHER INDIA ???

What is the point of republishing the same article on the homepag
by Anup S on Nov 19, 2016 10:51 AM

The article has been posted previously. What is the point of bringing it back again on homepage?? And this article is as biased as the writer who inclines towards AAP. We also stand in queues but we dont complain. We are having inconvenience not suffering. There is a difference, oh so wise writer (and mind u am not a bhakt). Stand firmly with the Govt, as u also agree that the decision is right.

I also did not stand in queue
by anil sood on Nov 19, 2016 10:45 AM  | Hide replies

I also did not stand in queue because I had some money and I could manage besides using plastic money. There are people who inspite of having enough money and could have waited got panicked and were part of the queue to fetch new currency. May be some netas are corrupt but some definitely must have used other means to manage.
