Old/New Currency It is horrible in spite of Union Govt noble initiative to lessen the hardships to the common man for the demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, many a organizations inlets/outlets are not listening and not caring. Instead of going forward a inch they are going 2 inches back to add hardships to a common man. We, the pensioners (Sr Citizens), went to IARI treasury to deposit the annual charges to avail for CGHS (medical) benefits, @Rs 500/pm totaling to Rs Rs 6000/- per annum, travelling about 25 Km but being refused rudely that we are not accepting old (demonetized) currency notes at IARI (Indian Agril Res Instt) treasury. The concerned authorities were approached but of no avail. The rude reaction from the Treasury at 10.20AM dt 11, 11.2016 was bring new currency notes. This is for anyone who cares to listen the senior citizens, at the Union Govt, Min of Agril or ICAR level please. Dr. P. Singh
Yesterday I went to the Post Office to sent some letters by Speed Post and by post to out of India, but the postal authorities declined to accept Rs. 500.00 notes. Is there any instructions not to accept higher value notes for these services. Please clarify
