problem of exchange of old 500 and 1000 notes
by venkata ramana on Nov 14, 2016 11:13 PM

Respected Prime Minister,
Sir We are very thankful for demonetising of Rs1000 and 500 currency notes. But many of the ATMs are not working properly. So, why can't you make use of the "LIC of India" for exchange of old currency. LIC was working all over the India. It has 113 Division offices,2048 Branch Offices & 1401 satellite offices (SSO).BY utilising it, the people of India did not struggle for currency.

Hats off Mr. Modi

Since 2014 Elections, every political parties & even the people of the Country were asking/hoping to get the black money back/clean off the mess!! Now, when the major step is taken, this parties are shedding tears in the name of poor people or farmers!! Actually, they are affected worst since their years of "hard work" has become now just a tissue paper!! Some initial inconvenience can be surely managed by all of us to see a brighter future of our country & the people. It's really not worth talking about congress party anymore !! Probably, for the first time since independence, honest tax payer had good sleep & other had nightmares!! What more do we expect ?? We may or may not agree with many actions of Mr. Modi (Everyone has right) but questions raised on this move by Mr. Modi & his Government only creates doubts about such people!!

First of all I would like to draw attention to the writer that his/her knowledge on Indian history is very poor. Muhammad bin Tughluq was from Tughluq dynasty and not Mughal dynasty as mentioned. Second simple rule, when we clean our house during diwali and other festive days it gives us initial discomfort but gradually we all see a clean and sparkling house. So In this case also the Govt. is in a process of cleaning the house and we all should support this.

Demonitisation

I wonder what will be the overall affect on the economy. There may be black money with several Indians in Swiss Banks but how anyone would imagine that they all carried 500 & 1000 notes in truck loads or ship loads to Swiss banks. Is it not insanity to think that black money in Tax Heavens is in Rupees. Surprised RBI Governor or Finance Minister think that black money overseas is in Indian currency. But business within the Country is certainly affected and small traders like Vegetable Vendors, Push Cart traders will have to go hungry for almost a week. The spiral affect will cripple the farmers ultimately. Already farmers in several States are crippled with either drought or floods, not ever marginal profit on farm produces like onions, vegs etc. While all the middlemen make more profits and also recover shortly if there is any temporary loss, farmers get crushed under debt further.
