There is enough talent in this country; You fail by failing to use
by R ponnabalam on Nov 04, 2016 10:30 AM  | Hide replies

If memory doesn’t fail me it was a Tata executive who once told ,”Produce a quality product at the right affordable price and it would sell any where” With all the experience from TELCO and of 60years and with the previous experience in TATAMOBILE and when companies like Hyundai,Ford are producing and selling passenger cars what can we think of TATA if it says that NANO is a failure worth closing. What has failed , Enginerring or Manufacturing and why?If state run ISRO can do failure analysis amidst criticism and succeed why the much praised PRIVATE enterprise couldn’t do it.Better not to call it emotional reasons , it can get called monumental management -failure and inability or choosen wrong ways to engineer and manufacture an Engineering product and then the down stream activities. We have become an Engineeringless country with all the focus on selling, excise evasion to save money et all, and all blah blah/R.PONNAMBALAM

Ill Conceived Product
by BS on Nov 03, 2016 11:50 PM  | Hide replies

It is big loss of face to Ratan Tata who's idea to produce Nano was a blunder. Coupled to it was a very funny design Tata motors came up with. With so many expert Marketing strategy firms around, they should have known that the such a car would have very limited buyers.

Tata motors hire so may IIM graduates for their own staff, yet no one in the organisation could advise Ratan Tata against the idea.

Better, TATA, continue with NANO. It is a prestige issue for RATAN TATA. BUT, with an improved/longer(Not looking like an insect)version. Cost can easily be within Rs. 2.00 lacs(On Road). TATA should come again to BENGAL to help recover their reputation eroded.
Both TATA & MAMATA must cool down without ego.

Tata Motors board had concerns on Nano
by Iqbal Masood on Nov 03, 2016 05:38 PM  | Hide replies

So what !!! it is Ratan Tata's ego who dares to ignore it. Ratan Tata should have learnt the way from Buddhadeb to avoid his fall.

TATAS HAVE DONE LOTS OF PHILANTROPIC WORK, AND NOT LIKE THE ADANIS AND AMBANIS. SO RIVALS MAY TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE AND BRING HIM A BAD NAME
