HRD MINISTRY ROLE
by abhay narayan on May 30, 2016 10:31 PM

I have gone thru' various comments of verious learned persons in this column. Whliest there are mixed opinions including educational qualifications of HRD Ministers.

However all of us must keep in mind the agreement between HRD Ministry and IIM, Ahmedabad. The selection Committee must have two representative of Government. Recomendations given without having Governmnet representative jus can not be accepted by any Government. Infact by any chance if HRD Ministry had approved the recomendation, HRD ministry wound be on fire with several questions including CBI, C&AG, Parilament etc.
Moreover, ministry has not rejeceted the names but asked to resubmit after consideration of various names (including present ones) with presence of Government representative. This is most professional approach taken by HRD Ministry.

HRD Ministry

To appoint the chief of IIM A is not a joke that one should choose the Industrialists and make them the head. This is a very delicate and prestigious post the reason Mrs Smrithi Irani scrapped the proposed names chosen by Search committee. It requires a real dynamic & intelligent person who is young and energetic and well qualified with modern and international management policies so that the name of the Institute would be maintained keep up the glory. Do not select flop people like ABC.

why are these ceo's wants to be part of an govts educational agency? we should be hiring a competent recruitment agency than hiring these croks.

its seems political recommendation. bjp should be recruiting only those who share their vision. it is a huge risk if continue with congress mentality folks.

Why the Panel of Experts didnot consider it necessary to invite HRD Ministry representative for the Meeting before Finalisation of the names ??
Whether they think, they are superior to the Government ?? or the HRD Ministry ??
Somebody should anwer this before making reference to the education of HRD minister.

Our total life moves around politics, we are governed by the system, and every party makes system as per its convenience. So far only congress ruled over the country, everywhere their supporters are sitting, change will certainly bring such articles.

IIM-DIRECTOR'S POST
by Gaurish Das on May 30, 2016 04:18 PM

This decision is not taken by HRD ministry. At the highest political level these decisions are taken.During UPA 1,son-in-law of a CPI leaders who is no more was appointed because CPI was supporting Congress.Same is the case here,as all appointments are vetted by all agencies including NGO'S so that all are satisfied by their strings & pull.

Smriti Irani reject the name of Deepak Parekh as IIM-A Chairman
by P S SHAH on May 30, 2016 04:15 PM

Smriti Irani has rightly rejected the name of Deepak Parekh , Chairman of HDFC. This man is a pure opportunist and has got the position in HDFC without doing anything and all the great efforts were taken by his uncle the great Hasmukhbhai Parekh. This Deepak Parekh is very well known for chamchgiri and always follow the people after looking in which direction the wind blow. He dont deserve to be the head of any institution at all. Today HDFC bank is doing extremely well because of the great efforts of Aditya Puri and not Deepak Parekh.

if you take taxpayer money
by amit saxena on May 30, 2016 04:03 PM

you should ask govt before doing anything. Autonomous should be financial autonomous also. Congress rules by putting their people everywhere in the name of autonomous. all autonomous org which are on public money are answerable to people elected govt.
