The enthusiasm needs to be encouraged.

And this can be done only at the government level.

Anil has the business culture in him.

If he gets the right technologies and the right technocrats the gamble could very well pay off if the perception of perfection is minutely followed and given priority over monetary gains through short cuts.

Anil Ambani big gamble

Entrepreneurship is in genes of Ambanis. The empire that late Shri Dhirubhai Ambani built is a testimony to the die hard spirit of Gujarati businessmen. One may criticize the short , circuitous routes which Ambanis might have taken to build up the empire, but no one can deny that this group ( atleast in its joint form ) laid the foundation to the largest refinery in the world, launched the cheapest cellphone network in India , owns one of the largest well diversified polymer plants in the world, besides so many other firsts.

The idea to diversify into the world of defense production is great , especially when India is one of the largest importers of military hardware in the world. And if by developing and growing into this sector, Anil Ambani can save millions of dollars for the country and add to our economy, it will be a great achievement. Wishing him and his team all the best for taking such a risk and Herculean endeavour

Enterpreneurship-Buck up Anil Ambani.
by virendra gupta on May 30, 2016 08:50 PM

This is the crux of entrepreneurship- a mix of adventure, plans, courage, vision etc.
How many other business tycoons are thinking like this -as they say 'beyond their own competency'. If you have to be restricted to your own fields going deeper and deeper, there will never be any scope for horizontal diversification.
So I wish Anil Ambani all the luck-for his own sake and also for INDIA's sake. Otherwise we shall keep on buying from other countries.

...When has your group ever produced anything that is considered innovative, other than stuff that is won by sheer money power?

Like the gentleman from SaaB said,,, you need a "culture".. which your group lacks... pretty much like the other Reliance one...

Now, let's be honest... It's not like other groups in our country have it either....

For all of us, anything is almost like a "trade"... put money now,,, get money Plus in not more than a tomorrow or a decade at best. For all the great culture we possess, we forgot how to spell "Patience" and "Belief"......

Its true what you have said, we dont have long term goals and vision to achieve them. We believe in JUGGAD rather than make a quality built to last product. We cut short on maintanace and manning, thus our products loose the designed/ assumed functional potential.

My hearty congratulations to Shri Anil Ambani. Our decision makers should understand that the Industrialists take the risk and initiative to do some thing great. Our PSUs have limitations, otherwise would have been self reliant long back. I appeal to our Authorities that If Anil Ambani does not have required experience he can have EXPERIENCED PEOPLE.It is Creative ability/ talents what is matters.

I dnt think importing experienced ppl will risk to secirity. You have already seen indigenous ppl like Kanhaiya, Anirban, Umer Khalid who are more sisk to security than outsiders.

With help of IMPORTED TALENTS we will be evolving our Nation. That will be make in India. But by IMPORTING ARMS we are evolving DEPENDENCY. Remember Imported Talents have no interests in jeopardizing our Sovereignty. Now Our Talented Industrialist would definitely utilize the experience of Retired Scientists from DRDO & ISRO but alas!! the jealousy in the mind of Intelligentsia towards Industrialists.
