Swachh Bharat

This can not be achieved without making it a public movement. Modi is successful in creating awareness and now it is duty of us all to make it successful. Swachh Bharat is need of the Country and we have to make all efforts to achieve this.

Don't need a clean India ?
by Rajendra Jambhorkar on May 27, 2016 11:50 AM

It seems that if swachchh Bharat mission fails, anti-Modi, Pro-pappu, pro-commi will be happy to live in dirty India, which they like from the very beginning. Instead we should try our best to make India Clean. Not just for Modi but for all of us, for our Country.

Some suggestions for swatch bharat mission
by shailesh on May 27, 2016 11:38 AM

(1) Assign fines of community service, the fines can be assigned for spitting, dirtying locality, or can be assigned for violating traffic rules.
(2) In community service, one can be assigned to clean up public places, spaces, ranging from anything to anything (beaches to rivers/riversides to public parks, anything really).

Thus government can intelligently use such fines to spread awareness amongst public about cleanliness as well as increase cleanliness.

Apathy
by PK Sagar on May 27, 2016 09:43 AM

The biggest obstruction to the success of this mission is the apathy of Indians and their lack of civic sense. Forget the role of corporate for a moment. We cant expect participation of educated Indians who i see urinating on the road side. So much for a country which wants to be called leader

IT IS GOVT OF INDIA'S MISSION
by manju pai on May 27, 2016 09:37 AM  | Hide replies

DEAR REDIFF,
Swacch Bharat mission is GOVT OF INDIA' mission. Why are you calling it as Modi's mission?
Request you to suggest and take steps to make it a success. If the mission fails,it indicates that our media is a bigger failure. Our media has failed miserable to educate the public.

Agreed, it's as if Modi alone is responsible for the program and if it fails it is good for those against Modi. Pappu got enough brickbats for announcing it as a failure some time back in Bangalore. Even at country's cost they want Modi to fail.
