However If our P.M. " NAMO" Ji Govt . realise the importance of distributing barren/ spare Govt. lands to Landless It will be great gesture & tremendous Good will will be earned in return .I still remember in rural areas the old masses still sing the loyalty tone to Indira Ghandhi as during her . tenure land was distributed to landless of course those who can bribe the land official Vill. pradhan ,patwari Tehsildar etc got the better lands 7 other got where ever they can get.
I hv . absolutely no doubt if our P.M "NAMO " Ji can provide water by wind Van in the jungles of Gujrat for jungle animals & birds & human alike , he will
certainly go for land distribution to landless not by taking from th haves but the Govt. barren lands availble in forests with the Instruction to plant as many trees/ plants as possible so that ecology of the area is maintained.
Jai Bharat

After the Britishers left India our own Black Gora took over the lands in the rural areas & they exploited the landless poors & downtrodden to the hilt by enslaving them.Occasionally our corrupt kongi Govt. of states/center passed the law to distribute sparebarren lands to landless as the fight between Masters & slaves continued in most of the parts in India even till today there are plenty landless in India same is evident from Bihar,UP, MP,Orissa & Rajsthan Che& many other states as well
Whenever lands were distributed to poors in rural areas not only their condition improved but it gave rise to self sufficiency in food production. Land refoms have not failed (rather they have been successful). It is the 65 years of mis-governance that has failed India. We did not create enough jobs in manufacturing sector (and kept importing from other countries) or other sectors.

Poor's life style is not depend on how much land he has, it is depended on how much money he earns.
It was proved long back that small land holding is not economical to cultivate.
It is communist mentality and idea is land holding directly proportional to income level.
Just check what market capitalization say top 5% people hold in Indian Indus trusty. It will be same ratio!. So will this author ask govt to nationalize private holding enterprises?

LAND REFORM
by madhab behera on May 18, 2016 12:49 PM

Dear RTI Activist Ji,
Pl provide data
1. how much area is acquired by government and corporates which have been unutilised till today during last 25 years.
2. why there is a thrers hold limit of around 20 acres for farmers above which government will forcefully confiscates the land from them. where as corporates like Reliance, Adani, Tata and others hold thousands of farm land unutilised and selling at hupping rates later on.
3. Why there is no right of farmer to cut tree planted by them in their own land.
3. The per capita land holding of marginal farmer will be reducing due to production of more child than the big land holder, so pl find out how many times these poor people have been multiplied during last 25 years, than compare again who holds how much land.
5. If the government loot the land of big farmers and gave away to the poor again they will sell it and drink wine and eat meat and again become land less by another 10 years.

So by RTI and statistics nothing is going to be improved, The basic problem the constitution of India needs to be changed as per present requirements.
