Solution to rural and poor electrification is this
by shailesh on May 21, 2016 02:38 PM

Instead of actual wiring and electrification of the house hold, the government would better install solar panels for 100 Watts or 250 Watts solar power generation on the roof tops off the poor / rural population. 100 Watts solar power generator comes at 4000 rupees and would supply of free electricity to light a tube light and a fan in every household...

Thus, at a total expenditure of 4000 1000 = INR 5000 a family in village will have un-interrupted fan and
tube light in their house for 25 years straight.

This, would have far wider reaching impact to much more people and quickly.. and in the same minimum cost lot of people would have more benefit.

FEW new industries to develop rapidly
by shailesh on May 21, 2016 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

(1) As more get employment and get out of poverty, furniture/wood industry would have consistently more demand across the country. thus from perspective of own use, exporting to other countries and reducing imports from other countries, the country needs to develop a new industry in growing fast growing trees that cab be used for furniture purpose, particle boards, both wood as well as the industry for it should be grown and developed in india rapidly.

2) futuristcally, consumer electronics, electrical would be another industry that would have to be well built in india it self for their demands would increase as there are more self-empowred citizens. plants in collaboration with leader japan should be set up in this regard... perhaps partnership of tata and some japanese company.

3) harness solar power energy across country. certainly solar power energy could be utilized by making efficient solar cookers that could be used across rural india and make it independent and powerful.

secondly, a solar powered battery of small scale could light up a fan and tube-light... and installed on roof / terrace. this could already be envisioned and tried to be made commercial at large scale.

this could be faster more sustainable solution for rural electricity across india.

India's development
by Ashwin on May 13, 2016 06:02 PM

Modi has certainly tried to implement several welfare measures but he has to realise one point. As PM, one can not afford to take even one bad decision because it is not about his home or dress but it is about the Country & 120 Crores people. Unless we see alround development & Rural, first, we can not expect to achieve alround development. In the name of 100 Smart Cities, MUD is spending whopping 350,000 Crores without even knowing what is a Smart city (as announced by the Minister himself) When suggestion sent, PMO's experts turned it down commenting "one size can not fit all". I feel they are trying to design bigger commodes for fat people because they excrete more quantity. When such experts advise PM, obviously development is first casuality. If we dont have development, what do we have? Can anyone say, if people are happy in Cities OR Villages? Nowhere people are happy. We are living because we cant die but it is as good as life without life.

Believe our Current Prime Minister
by Ranjan Kumar on May 13, 2016 12:40 PM  | Hide replies

Hi all, we all should have faith and believe in our current PM Mr. Modiji who is really working hard and looking for all possible opportunities to make our country the best in the world inspite of all the negative environment created by the opposition and some anti-social elements. We have been patient and tolerated non-NDA governments in the past. Let us all believe our Current PM and give him atleast his own tenure of total 5 years before concluding something.

Yes. In a way, all the problems created are by the Congress & their supporters for 3 reasons. (1) They are unable to digest the fact that they have lost their base itself in the Center, even the tag of Main Opposition lost into oblivion (2) They do not want BJP/Modi to get the credit of turning India into success story (3) They are scared of their scams unlimited stories & sent to jail. They are trying their best thru students, patels, Muslims & many more. That is the last straw of hope for Congress & their team.

Goverment connecting and digitizing farmer information - URGENT
by shailesh on May 13, 2016 11:53 AM  | Hide replies

Of course, its the government that should buy these products from the farmers before farmers have to be hurt like that - Onion case.
I really don''t understand why this information has not been digitized so far. All it would take is to give this information for digitization to private consultants across, every district and every village of every district and get this information digitized - using private contracts.
Once all this information about all farmers is online, then all information as which farmer is growing what and where and when the yield will come will be online. And, then the government can accordingly plan to buy / sell the yields from the farmers.
I seriously think, all this can be contracted by private contracts, where each set of contractors designated for that village collects all information about all farmers in that village in less than a month.
I am surprised that all this is do-able so quickly and yet has not been done. What is the govt doing ? - Sleeping on this.
Why cannot the government initiate this right off the bat and get this completed in a month in the entire country!

All the farmer information, regarding size of their lands, crops they grow and plan to grow, there yields, # of people employed, water needs, their phone numbers, panchayat number, fertilizers used, bank account number, mode of selling crops etc. - time of the yields of their crops etc. can be digitized and can be done at say rupees 100 per farmer.
At Rs 100 / farmer, this would cost 4000 crore maximum to the ex-chequer, but it would be a huge piece of information to then digitize and reform farming across the country.
