Unhappy Indians, including the Rediff team and the teachers of Humanities and English language from JNU, Hyderabad Uni and Jadhavpur Uni, should immediately move to Iraq and Bangladesh for savouring their cup of Joy .... and ofcourse stay there forever. That will increase the happiness quotient of India

The rot had taken root due to 50 years of misrule by one party, which is now busy creating hurdles in improvements.

I wonder if we can add Dalits like Kanhaiya to the list. They have remained unhappy since independance but want to pin it on BJP.
Instead of pointing out the negatives about India, why not media project the achievements of India. This will keep our image internationally. If we are standing near the gate of our house and abusing our own family in front of neighbors and onlookers, it affects our own prestige. Medio should stop such attitudes to avoid rediculing our own country. When there was only print media, any negative uttering die down the next day and it never used to get wide publitcity. Now because of electronic media the news spreads faster than light or sound and remains the focus of attention for years.
We will slide even further if Modi and gang do not leave their policies of divide and rule, and just focus on development. That said, the only silver lining in the entire article is the first photo - an Indian who is an inspiration to all those so-called educated illiterates who believe in sloganism, shouting about all perceived maaatas, but do not respect and take care of their real maaata. Accept my sincere respects, True Indian.
Debarghya Sanyal in New Delhi is a congress person or rep as the author is 100% negative and unstable ideas and unproductive reportings. Why during last 60 years India has never had this type of situation ? is it only from last two years. see the unproductive opposition with some unproductive reps and we have some bits of parties who hav never won even double digits what they can tak or institgate or influence. such baised article is a zero evaluation for author . a blind person will say world is blind

That's the best comparison we can have. Being part of BJP Marketing Force (abusing force), you also have shown the same quality. If at all there was any mess created by previous governments, including BJP, then that's for the people went for a change in 2014. Instead of acting on clearing the mess, people in the party and other followers, try to cover up and rake up non issues every time so that people forget their real pain. The fact is that we have not achieved anything during the past couple of years despite tall promises ... inflation, BJP says came down but when we compare the prices of any item, it has gone up manifold; the stock market, that indicates the economic activity of any country, seems to be moving to pre-independence era (you would agree that only with such increased economic activity the revenue of government increases); the happiness index has gone down for whatever reason;
AND instead of solving the problems being faced by the country, people like you try to run away (being in government) and blame all and sundry for the same; and then rake up issues that are irrelevant - JNU was a self-created issue with the videos having been morphed to create havoc in the country and to divert attention; then the nationalism, etc., when those vouching nationalism themselves involved in antinational activities, including giving unwarranted statements, etc.
AND THEN RUNNING AWAY BY SAYING THAT ALL THE PROBLEMS WERE CREATED BY EARLIER GOVERNMENTS
