Govt is counting on payment to be made from increase in pay etc but this will cause increase in salery and ultimately increase in income tax which is 34 % in higher bracket and lowest is 14 % applicable to pensioners.

Another jolt to Indian Public, interestingly Govt. clears their own increment instantly and considering the wavering & leaning condition of Indian Economy but that does not stop Politicians to spend public money without applying their brains and further burdening tax payers.

Pay/Pension hike

Common man never looked after by any govt. only politicians and govt. servants. All this money, all this money would have been diverted to MNREGA or for growth of poor, appears to be no difference in between UPA and NDA.

Stop concession to Railway employees
by Nitin Deshpande on Jun 30, 2016 09:59 AM  | Hide replies

According to me Railway should stop free passes to the railway employee and their family members. As long as person is employed in railway he should get free pass to travel anywhere in India, and for his / her family members railway can give 20-30% discount on railway ticket. Also once the employee gets retired from the service total free passes should be stop. And again railway can give some discount on ticket. Now a days even after retirement employee gets free passes for life time. As it is employee gets pension after retirement so this free things should be totally stopped. Recently I heard the news that for senior citizens railway is going for an option either for get ticket concession or they can opt out of concession. That means railway also want to stop senior citizen concession. All this free bees should be stopped as Prime Minister is asking for giving off all subsidies to common man then why railways should give? They can also charge something to the employee family members.

Very rightly said. How many railway pensioners, multiply with 2 passes x the average cost of 2 tier AC ticket. You will know how much subsidy is railway ministry giving...same with airline staff after retirement. Same should apply to politicians, bureucrats to kill this evil of subsidy. Grow up with times....Modiji.

What impact will this make on the overall revenue, may be 0.001%. Come on grow up and suggest practical ways of increasing revenue.

Similar is the case with gas subsidy. It is very little amount. Still Govt. want to take away that small amount from individuals. Do not give anything free that's what I want to suggest. There is no value if anything is free. When I put up money from my own pocket then people come to know the value.

i am an Income Tax payer and it is my right to decide how the Govt. spends public money. Its a shame that these useless pests (Govt. employees) are sucking away all our national income. Its high time there was a referendum in the general masses on how the public money is to be spent. private sector employees and all labour class people should rise up and demand the Supreme Court to put a full-stop to all this Pay Commission nonsense. Pay parity first for all the citizens, then anything else.

Agree with your views. When modi can do away with planning commission why not with this 10 year ritual of pay commission
