A Sheepish Defence Of The Indefensible......
by rishi on Jun 22, 2016 11:26 PM

.....Rajan played in to the hands of what is now a defunct and almost-fatally wounded sonia-rahul-chidambaram congress pvt. ltd. NDA has never expected anyone to be a 'yes man'....the very DNA of top stalwarts of BJP-Led-NDA shows a very high-level of risk-taking abilities , the same that it expected of its people in critical positions in defence and economy atleast where they extended far greater autonomy to the decision makers than the UPA which wanted every decision to be approved by an italian housewife whose 'yes mam' rajan was.

Rajan's exit
by Thomas Chacko on Jun 21, 2016 08:21 PM  | Hide replies

A two-bit actor as director of a premier film institute, a cricketer as the head of a fashion technology institute, a sycophant at the helm of the censor board, a college dropout lording it over IITs, IIMs,AIIMS etc, and now we will soon have a Yoga Guru or Artist of Living as the Governor of RBI.These guys know how to make money out of nothing, and grow from rags to riches in no time. Bharat, however, will be in the safe hands of someone with a very broad chest.

And you can be sure we will doing far better that way....all of them will deliver their hundred percent and not just ten-percent to the present govt. in people-like rajan whose heart lies with those who helped add to his personal career-graph by appointing him the RBI governor in the first place. Employers prefer less-knowldegeable people who can deliver their hundred percent which is always more than the ten-percent that more knowledgeable people with some cerebral disconnect with their employers can. Rajan fell into the latter category of his own will.

No body is indispensible
by Vijay Gokhale on Jun 21, 2016 06:42 PM

With due respect to Rajan, the write up seems to be completely biased in that it ignores the fact that interest rates do not only decide level of inflation and monetary policy is not a rocket science and preserve of any single individual or a patented formula. India and other countries of the world have had their share of economic problem and it was not Rajan who solved them everytime and everywhere. Rajan is indeed good but not indispensible.

INDIAN POLITICIANS ARE AGAINST PROFESSIONS. THEY ONLY LIKE MARWARIES TO EARN MONEY. ARUN JAITLY IS AN EGOIST PERSONALITY. SINCE IN INDIA IF YOUR HONEST/ OUTSPOKEN /TRANSPARENT ARE SURE TO FAIL.
EVERYBODY LIKES FALSE STORIES/ GOODI-GOODI/ YESMAN. I KNOW ONE VERY SR.POLITICIAN WHO LOST RAJYA SABHA ELECTION. HE MUST HAVE LOST CRORE OF RS. DUE TO HIS HABIT OF YESMAN.
