Rise in tomato prices is normal but such a huge price rise is failure of govt and Modi personally. Hate to say but I voted for Modi.

The economics of BJP is not to take into account how and what poor man can eat.If they can make strong middlle income group, they can be self assured to count on the vote bank to come back to power with regional parties power. This is the change they await.aprt from monsoon as expected to tackle food front

The puppet modi and his ill brained amit shah must provide respite to the middle class now. They always blamed congress for all the ills. Infact they themselves are the pests who will eat up India.

I supported you in the 2014 elections. I understand u have to take some strong decisions for the betterment of economy. So it's ok with this cess and that cess. But now I have a right to know... what benefit has it done? Has prices of essential commodities like FOOD COME DOWN? We have to live. So we have to eat. Day in and day out because of hoarding and other problems veg. prices and pulse prices are sky rocketing. Is this ur concept of Ache Din? Ok to pay for lunches in hotels - I don't mind that. But to buy pulses at 200 /kg .. is this justified? U r obsessed with bullet trains. First clean existing trains. Having long term vision is not bad, but PLEASE ADDRESS our basic necessities. It is high time.

the prices are increasing due to artificial shortage created. Bulk of the supplies goes to Ketch up manufacturers which is exported. The common man is denied the basic vegetable. There should be cap on supplies to ketch up industries.

Sir, Do you mean to say that Ketchup Manufacturing companies buy and store at higher cost for their production. Further tomatos are highly perishable which could not be stored for long.

Sir, the govt itself announced yesterday that inflation on food item is 10.77 which is higher in 21 months. In south India larger producer is Karnatak and next yield is expected by Aug only. Cost of tomatos at the field itself between 60-70. The same seems to have been discussed by council of ministers on 15th - as per news news channels.
