Sir, I had made a fixed deposit with Unitech in 2012 which matured in 2015, but the company has not refunded the matured amount, they had approached the company law board that staggered refunds would be made even that has not taken place. If we phone the company they cut the line when they hear fixed deposit, what recourse do we take.

Mr Narendran: Make your claim with the company with written statments. Obtain reasons for delay or denial in writing. Later present thru a bank. Then issue a legal notice and refer court/consumer forum - claim int upto the date of settlement plus legal expenses etc.
Cheating by way of delay in possession, deficiency in providing facilities and increasing area or prices is a common feature by almost all builders. Hope, new law will take care of all such issues. No doubt so far authorities were also party with these builders in the cheating game, as they need at every step bribe from them, do not permit issues in time, harass them with one pretext or other.
