High Administrative Costs of Government Implemented Schemes
by Atul Nayak on Jun 06, 2016 03:38 PM

One of the major issues is the high administrative costs for implementing the Government schemes.

1. Old Age Pension Schemes - the beneficiary gets only Rs 200 per month but the total real cost of salaries and office expenses of the staff involved in this scheme is more than Rs 500 per person per month.

2.MGNREGS - we are speaking here of delay in paying of wages but really what are we paying wages for there is no real productivity it is nothing short of charity distributed amongst the villagers and distributor for doing practically nothing and demanding payment on time.

3. Rural Skilling Programme - if it is really implemented then MGNREGS is not required. If fact those villagers who avail of this programme should not be permitted to MGNREGS and if this is done you will know the duplication of government expenditure and that skilling has been useless in the first place.

All in all poor are used to be parasites on government funds and are neither interested in working or skilling all they want is free wages and government after government is pampering and creating problem for the honest tax paying middle and upper middle class citizens.

THIS GOVERNMENT HAS ONLY ACCENTUATED THE DISTRESS
by Vascado on Jun 06, 2016 02:54 PM

All that this Modi Government can offer as benefits to the poor masses can only be realized by them upon their death as most are in the form of the invisible Insurance schemes which are intentioned more to benefit the Insurance Companies than the actual beneficiaries.

Other than that, this Government has practically done nothing for the welfare of the povertarian lot other than offering tall speeches, fanciful slogans and selling them dreams.

earlier UPA govt, is slow - very slow - in getting convinced that what are immensely more important than speeches, declarations of intent, postures, propaganda, media management..............in poverty alleviation measures is the allocation of more and more resources each year for the various schemes and ensuring that the allocated resources reach the targeted beneficiaries !

Instead, one of the first acts of the Modi government after coming to power was to effect steep cuts (ranging from 15 to 40 %) in the existing allocations to the various schemes (public healthcare, public education, MNREGS, Total Sanitation campaign - which the govt renamed as the Swacch Bharat Mission, Food subsidy through the PDS, etc.) !!

And the Modi govt is now very busy trying to cover up those cuts in allocations with propaganda, media blitzkrieg, sound..light....more sound....more light.....!!
