It has been made full court by advocates and few retired judges, which must be banned, in such cases only consumer himself must represent his case with facts of the case supported by paper instead of discussions and long legal implications. Modiji deserve all praise for changing arbitration laws which was mis-handled abused by Ex. judges, and advocates.

Still there is no respite and your observation that it works nowadays more like a civil court is right. Also there is urgent need to include lawyers services under consumer protection act. Most lawyers are unconcerned about consumer interests. Why this is not done despite them charging so heavily is a mystery.
