New Design is a welcome sign.. but how frequently and efficiently Railways would manage to maintain the amenities is a big big question. Water Purifiers / Chargers would need REGULAR MAINTENANCE for sure and citizens are skeptical about how Railways would manage this show bcoz as of now the Chargers installed in AC Coaches / Rajdhani are already in bad shape.
While Mr Prabhu is taking good initiatives he should also have a detailed look at WINDOWS of all unreserved and Sleeper class compartments of all Trains. More than 50% Windows are not in proper order and shape and passengers are facing a lot of hardships in ACUTE WINTER and MONSOON. I wish Mr Prabhu will read this comment or atleast there is someone who can atleast pass on this to him for further action. This is most needed change for Railways.

You are right Mr. Shah. I travel weekly in duranto exp.(Nagpur to Mumbai). Bio toilets flush are not working. so many times it is difficult to enter in washroom.Direct journey . Night travel. Railway not maintaing.

On 16th and 19th of this month, I traveled in train no 12081, Kannur - Trivandrum Jansatabdi express. 4 coaches of this train was that of ordinary express.. that is more than 25%.. after paying 25% charge more than ordinary express, I am made to sit in congested seat without a front table and foot rest facilities. T T said it like this since many days!

GARIB RAT - (POOR RAT ) COACH NAME HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH DEEN DAY - ALU (WEAK DAY POTATO).
SOME MODERN AMENITIES HAVE BEEN PROVIDED. INDIA NEEDS COACHES IN VOLUMES FOR POOR CLASS AND AFFORDABLE CLASS TRANSPORTATION - CLOSE TO AT LEAST 1 MILLION COACHES AND 100,000 ELECTRIC - DIESEL DUAL POWER ENGINES.
Any improvements in passenger facilities are most welcome. But passengers also should realise and keep the coaches clean. Vendors should not be allowed in trains who sell eatables such as ground nuts, puffed rice etc.This spoils the cleanliness. More so, there should be sufficient water stored in toilet tanks so that residues can be flushed properly.Every passenger should feel responsibility equally for a comfortable journey.
FACILITIES OFFERED BY RAILWAYS FOR THE LOWER INCOME GROUP/ SUBSIDY CLASS NEED TWO IMPORTANT THINGS.MONKEYS PLAYING HAVOC IN TRAIN NEED TO BE PUNISHED ON SPOT.
1) THERE MUST BE SPEAKERS IN THE TRAIN AND CLEANLINESS AND PUBLIC HYGINE SPEECHES MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE TRAIN SO THAT PUBLIC ARE MADE AWARE NOT TO SPOIL CLEANLINESS IN TRAINS.
2)THE DUTY OF THE RAILWAYS SHOULD BE GOOD MAINTENANCE . WE ARE AWARE THAT THEY ARE TRYING BUT MORE CAN BE DONE.
3) REGARDING THE SLIM CUSHION SEATS - A THICK CUSHION SEAT WILL GET SPOILT IN NO TIME.
This is expected for every public service that we use, but as can be seen the opposite is true. People throw all dirty things in public places and transport.
This should change. I am doing it myself, no more throwing anywhere only in dustbin, using steel plates and glasses instead of throwaway plates and glasses, carrying own water as per requirement, no spitting anywhere except in washbasin if required.
We all have to do this or suffer from all kind of diseases.

Jansatabdi no.12081 runs with 25% ordinary express coaches-- 4 out of 13. public do not deserve that also?
