I don't understand why a railway budget is discusseed in parliament every year. Most the schemes announced in the budget anyway takes years to accomplish. why not list the priorities in the first year of budget, work on it and complete them in five years and then present a new one.
We need reservations in train also based on General / OBC / SC / ST & MINORITIES.Dear Minister kindly consider. (may be sounds funny but our Politicians may bring it up in future...

Railway is now a day looting gang. They take four advance in reservatins means four month interest free F.D. No one can plan their programme before four months. Even we forget this reservation. After four we cancel the ticket and they get good cancellation charges. The same seat is allowed to someone with full fare. Another looting is tatkal. More than 505 seats are reserved for tatkal. People who stand in que for several hours do not get the reservation and they are forced to buy tatkal tickets.
Can the Railway minister understand our problem and do something for the common man to get a ticket of his needs.
General boogies are highly crowded, sleeper coach are totally empty. Even though they are empty people of general boogies are not allowed to enter. Please convert additional 2 sleeper coach boogies in all trains into general boogies with this such empty boogies can be used at least to stand.
budget every year is nothing but one occassion to loot the people of the country by raising fares. In last 10 years fares have become almost double but still we are getting same service or worst. We have to give full marks to our ministry and media for giving such manipulative figures. If railways is in such a loss stop running it and focus only on goods train. Let me tell you even then its going to be in loss. Those who sit in AC office and take decision what will they know what is going on at the ground level. A railway minister should travel 365 days on each and every route of the country to assess the situation and then he will understand what people have to go through. Next he should travel with engine drivers and understand their problem that when you feel like using toilet and you can't halt the train or take a break how it feels. Our minister should be made to hold his toilet for few hours then he will understand. Let him drive the train in freezing conditions and feel the snowy breeze coming out from dilapidated windows and freezing the driver and in that too if he is driving some superfast train where stops are every 3 or 5 hours.
My book "And So I Lived" highlights many an avoidable scenario in the Railways with hope of reforms in Railways. This budget will reveal the true identity of our Railway Minister/Govt.
railway department id doing extortion business in public sector they will issues tickets beyond capacity over that they will not provide even basic services for that when passenger is unable to travel when he aproach for cancellation they will deduct amoun t what it could be called ? and when it will come to general travel ticket every body knows the seating capacity entire journey is 90 per gen coach if they could have issued 150 tickets it can be adjustable to travel but presently they are issuing tickets infinite without endless if passenger wants die let him to die this is the RRB concept and 90% of the trains journey will start during night time only at that time how passenger will complete his travel they never think and they never provide services.with lot of corruption in the deapartment huge losses is happening if they could have utilised resourses better way the deaprtment get in to profit i,e provide suburbans local trains benift to department as well as public

as such nothing happen, some trains will be extended as new trains and passenger fares will go up, no amenities no safety will come trains will late as usual nothing will happen, but one thing will happen all railway employees will get a fat pay and still govt says rly is in loss, cant believe
