Not Ethical
by BS on Feb 02, 2016 12:10 PM

It is extremely unethical on part of Bajaj to take the name of INS Vikrant to sell its motorbikes just because it is made from Scrap of the ship.

There is no way a customer can verify these facts and Bajaj is trying to mislead customers. In what way the performance of the Bike is enhanced merely because it is made from INS Vikrant Scrap.

Limited Edition Run
by Gaurav GUPTA on Feb 02, 2016 11:34 AM

It would have been better if Bajaj had retained this cafe racer/ Cruiser body style and given it the Chassis, Engine, Gear box, suspension and brakes of the Pulsar 220. Bajaj could have sold the bike with a 5 year warranty (TVS gives 5 year warranty on some models) along with 5 year FULL AMC . The Full Warranty and Full AMC would help keep the bike in good condition for a longer time. It’s better to go all out when you release a product that is riding on Nostalgia and Patriotism. They could have priced the bike at around 2 lakh and sold it as a limited edition run .

Bajaj Auto should clarify the Following.
by Gaurav GUPTA on Feb 02, 2016 11:19 AM

From where did they Purchase the Metal parts of the INS Vikrant? Is the Source and Metal Certified?

How many Tons of Metal parts of the INS Vikrant have they sourced in all?

How much metal of INS Vikrant being Used In each Bike? Is it 50 grams or 100 grams per bike?

A Ship has all types of metal used in its construction have they procured Multiple types of metals?

Where is the metal being used? Is it being used in the Body panels or the Chassis or the Engine?

It would have been better if they had clearly stated all the above points in a press conference

It would have been Better If they had Launched this bike as a standalone limited Edition with a production Run of anywhere between 10,000 to 35,000 bikes and not reduced it to “ A Commuter Bike with an Elastic production Schedule to Meet Demand”

I hope they do not reduce the INS Vikrant to a marketing gimmick that is full of Stars , Astrix marks Dots and Dashes for Conditions Apply

WHERE THE METAL IS USED?
by Varun on Feb 01, 2016 05:59 PM  | Hide replies

Does the symbol "V" contain the metal or in engine?

Be specific boss

I first look for the bike's performance than such sales gimmicks as the metal is not going to change its performance in any way and shell out some 10K extra for the metal that they would have bought for Rs. 100 per bike
