prop up the BJPs chances of winning the UP assembly election, announcing an extremely populist budget is the least that Modi can do !

As to where the resources for such heavy populism will come from, especially in the context of the very expensive demonetisation drive unearthing just about 1 % of the black money the govt initially went about assuring everyone, no one will be wiser !

The people are most corrupt those who think that they are so honest and others are corrupt.Ex: The thief never express the view to public that he is a thief but thinks that he is very intelligent.

by JA on Dec 31, 2016 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

TODAY THE OFFICERS TAKE AWAY ALL THE BENEFITS WE PAY AS TAXES FOR POOR PEOPLE IN COUNTRY.

RAJIV GANDHI HAD TOLD ALL THE POOR MEASURES WE TOOK 95 PERCENT WAS TAKEN AWAY BY THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT OFFICERS AND NONE REACHED THE PUBLIC

WHEN FORIEGN GOVERNMENTS GAVE AID IN FLOODS AND FAMINE THE FORIEGN BLANKETS WERE ALSO FOUND IN HOUSES OF OUR DEAREST OF DEAR GOVERNMENT OFFICERS

TODAY ALSO GOVERNMENT OFFICERS ARE COLLECTING BLACK MONEY AND BRIBES NOTHING HAS CHANGED

ONLY MEMORY OF MODI IS CHANGING BUT INDIA IS AS IT IS

ALL MONEY TAKEN IN FORM OF TAXES IS SPENT ON GOVERNMENT SALARIES GOVERNMENT OFFICES GOVERNMENT PETROL AARMS PURCHASES AND BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE GOVERNMENT ONLY.

NOTHING IS GIVEN TO THE POOR AND PEOPLE ARE ASKED TO SPEND MONEY ON THE POOR PEOPLE AND TAKE TAX REBATES OR SPEND AND DO NOT TAKE REBATES ALSO BUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING ON POOR IS NIL NEAR TO ZERO RUPEES.

Your comment sounds like the typical excuse from someone who doesnt want to pay taxes. Its still citizens duty to pay taxes and its a crime to hoard black money.

yes you are right in some instances. we should wait for some more time and expect good things from mr modiji. People of ongoing states going poll should strengthen the hands of bjp to take strong steps for stoping bribes. it will take time.

Mr.Modiji is the PM of our country not the CM of the different states.People elect him as a PM on the basis of his promises. Why he is only showing interest in state elections as if there is no work is available in the central govt. From the formation of govt. to till date he did a one thing, every day creating new issues if the previous issue failed in every front.

Benifits from Demonitisation
by Global Agency on Dec 31, 2016 08:28 AM

We should expect long term benifits to our nations with growth of incomes instead of giving away money freely to our citisions in the names schemes for the poor, this could be for the political benefits only with nothing remains in future growth.

Heartening.

If all this is true, then surely the PM is moving towards many of the formulations that could even have come from Sonia's NAC. That is certainly good and is to be welcomed . Direct cash transfers to the poor was Arvind Panagariya's pet scheme anyway. Wonder what our middle classes have to say, since they were dead against any sops like MNREGA to the poor.

Rediff is only trying to confuse people, as usual. They know nothing. Now they will over hype and create fake expectations, and after the speech, they will say, they are disappointed, that the poor got nothing. This is the Kangress game plan, played by Rediff.
