Demonetisation
by Jaideep Mathur on Dec 27, 2016 08:06 PM  | Hide replies

Everyone from the poorest upwards want to be modern; everyone wants to be progressive; everyone wants systems like Singapore and USA but no one wants old retrograde systems to go.... Everyone takes pride in saying I have so-and-so much cash.... Its a sad situation that we as a society are corrupt and morally bereft and don't want to change.

Why kachaa bill, why not generate a pucca receipt for each transaction, why not pay each employee wages online into the account.... We are corrupt actually..... and we Indians should be ashamed of ourselves.

Lets be practical shall we and stop talking like Modi through the top of the various hats he wears.
How many of your "each employee" know how to operate an online account/paytm/or sign a cheque/or deposit it in an account.
Its very easy to talk bombastic language which sounds nice to Modi bhakts but at the ground level things are different (atleast in a largely uneducated India).
The demonetization was a thoughtless act with big ramifications which Modi did not factor in.

Be a Modi bhakt or not, anyone who thinks futuristic will surely sound like Modi/Jatley/Nitish. When we claim to see what's happening on the ground & try to bank on Uneducated India, why do we forget that this Uneducated India has done all sorts of other transactions & actions i.e. bank loans, transfer of property, various enrollments in govt. schemes, setting up business, legal fight for ancestral property, using internet for porns etc. Then why in the world it is so difficult to use online platforms for money transactions!!!!

Why can't Anurag Salaria - credit the money into Worker's accounts. For workers who do not have accounts - can be forced to open one - or leave the job.

The problems are plenty but we have solutions for most. People want to be corrupt and then crib..

Problem was there for first 15 - 20 days. Now there are hardly any queues at the bank counters. Now every saving account holder is allowed to withdraw Rs.24,000/- per week, which to my mind is more than enough.

Un-organised sector including employees working there are beaten badly due to de-monetisation.
Govt. servants are happiest as they are secured upto retirement and continuously their salary/peqs and pension goes up.

A government that can not control, administer and manage about 3Crore employees can never manage a country of 125Crores. Short hand works with about 26 strokes. Information technology works on zero and one (0&1). "E=MCsquare" is the smallest equation. Similarly OME is the still smallest Sanskrit letter that embeds in it entire universe /multiverse (Grand design by Stephen Hawking). This back ground vividly evidences and cries that this unmanageable, uncontrollable, UN-adiministrable employee force is created, nurtured and pampered (for votes and to protect political dom and be facilitators of huge corruption and custodians of ill gotten money, hoarders of black money for politicians) by politicians of this great democratic country. Now unless some political party sacrifices itself and cracks a whip on its political karyakarthas country will remain corrupt to the core despite demonetization or any other such harshest measures also. Political parties made this great country a corrupt country. As on date simple calculations suggest that total ilegal money (black money is just one form of ilegal money that is not accounted for in IT books of account- ilegal money includes all monies that are not accounted for in IT books and also that are accounted for in IT books of account)is of the order of Rs.6.45Lakhs per year. This total of Rs.6.45lakh crore is just the total of bribes earned by all dishonesth 20% of 3 crore employees

the high costs are justified as the martians need to be able to see Patel and Shivaji from their planet.
They may not be having the hard cash to make a trip all the way to India.
